Newbie 1038: Welcome to the Jungle! (Game Over!)

The thing is I'm sick and can't go anywhere out or do anything. I also don't have any movies here. So the only thing i can do is post here and lurk the internet. But nothing was happening here, so i decided to write that post as it was sure to generate some kind of discussion.
As far as i can tell it was successful. While i was sleeping you made a ton of posts. That is good. It gives me something to do, plus it moves things along. No discussion is boring and brings nothing to anyone. If anything it hides the scum better.

So you directly posted a hollow accusation just to get discussion going? Seems kinda manipulative/scummy to me. :/ Although you don't mark me as very scummy (just slightly so), I'm going to keep my vote where it is for now.

Yeah, pretty much. That's because i think little discussion benefits scum more. If you don't try people and see their responses you can't move on and really determine who is scum, imo.
Though since things are moving along now, i won't put up any more baseless accusations.

Nice to see Mr. High and Mighty has any reads himself apart from an unexplained maybe scummy read on a few people.

Personal attacks are not really tolerated too much here, being assertive is fine, but going after someone simply to belittle someone is not allowed and will get you replaced in most cases. If you have something to say, say it civily and we can move from there.

Why do you think Brent is scum? Why do you think wolf is maybe scum?

You see your posts make me think you are scummy as you have pointed your finger at people without giving reasons as to why you think they are town or scum.

You are voting for Pine, comment on this by him, say he is not really scummy for it, but you subesquently seem to attack Lunatic but leave your vote on someone you only have a very slightly scummy if even that. I was afraid that voting for someone who did something mean without having any hard evidence would quickly form a "wagon" (I think I used that properly ) and get him lynched prematurely before anything could be further evaluated. To an extent I was right, He is at L-3 and if I voted for him he would be put at L-2, which would allow the mafia (assuming they haven't already voted on him) to quickly vote for him and get him lynched really early.

I am really waiting to hear more from lunatic, but I don't see enough evidence (other then just being a jerk) to vote for him just yet.

Some random thoughts
- if pine were scum, might he have told his scum pal lunatic that I was his target and to try and get the townies against me, thus the reason for all of the hate?
- DP was eager to find new members, maybe he was he waiting for a scum buddy?
- King hopped on the lunatic bandwagon pretty quickly

My top suspects are either pine and lunatic as scum buds or possibly DP and King.

Looking back at this, he could have used the "we" in the context and grammar of the original question. However, I am still suspicious because his excuse is that he isn't a native english speaker, and he didn't say the grammar thing in his defense.

Pine and Mirror are scummy, but almost for sure not scum together.

KTS and Lunatic are kinda scummy, but im watching them closer for connections then anything else.

Tans is probably town but I have reservations about calling him town that still make me uncomfortable about putting him on the level of DP and Brent.

Flaker needs replacing.

@pine - To explain the grammar part a bit (which is funny because I am horrible at it), using the word "we" implies that you are a part of the group. In this case, the 'we would be able to talk' means that you have the ability to talk with him, aka are mafia with him. In the event you are town the word you would be looking for is "they", a collective of people that does not include yourself.

Either way my bigger problem with Pine is that he seems to be testing the waters and leaving small marks on different wagons which would allow him to go back and forth between them as needed. In his most recent post there are five players that essentially have a "no read" attached to them, a flaker and a conflicted read on KTS.

@Mirror - Can you summarize the Pine case? Also what makes the aggressiveness of Lunatic scummy while the aggro-DP is not scummy?

I actually feel pretty good about mirror being town. Mirror already explained why they didn't vote lunatic and Mirror also questioned the scum votes against me.

Can you give a detailed explanation of why I am scummy? I can only picture myself coming off that way because of how quickly I judge people (not a good trait I admit ).

He says he made the accusation out of "boredom" and to get discussion going. I found that manipulative, something that mafia strive to be if I am not mistaken. But do not mistake me and think that I consider this worthy of a lynch. I find it suspicious but not worthy of a straight up lynch.

Lunatic was accusing BrentM of being stupid and everything. He seemed to be agreeing with something already established by everyone. Kinda like "yeah I think so too" except exaggerated to make him seem townish. Also him calling himself intellectual seemed like he was trying to garner a leadership role. I found this suspicious. But again I didn't vote for him because I didn't want to start a wagon on him with no hard evidence besides him being a jerk.

The reason DP isn't scummy to me is cause, although he was a jerk, he never accused anyone of anything (unless I missed it, which is quite probable). The only vote he made was when he did an OMGUS on tanstalas. I just didn't read DP as scummy in his posts, seemed more like a SE taking his role too personally.

Me questioning the votes made against you doesn't necessarily prove innocence. :U Although I appreciate the thought. I was merely proving my point by telling people my outlook of the situation against you. Don't let someone's actions that are for your benefit cloud your judgment.

I see. They also works. But i was thinking about it from the question's perspective, since it was a question about me and lunatic. That's why I used "we". If it were talking about some other 2 people i surely would have used they.

I'm not really sure what to make of this. The no read's are simply me being new, so i can't really sniff out mafia from wording alone, plus my english skills can prevent that form time to time, though i do tend to read posts thoroughly because of that same reason.
And about testing the waters part. I don't really see myself going between various wagons. I pretty much stayed with BrentM as my main suspect for a while now. Can you explain this further, please?

The main reason i find him scummy is pretty much merely a hunch. As explained above, I'm not really the best as far as reading people's posts.
But it started with his vote on DP with which he joined the wagon on him. The next thing that made me suspicious of him was tanstalas post #25, where i could see the connection though really was leaning more towards the 2nd option, thus my comment: "I'm keeping my mind open to all the options." from post #30. After that it was mostly going after his use of word definitely in that context. Seemed too sure of it, but I think that's really just some grammar stuff, similar to our "we" debate. It never was a serious argument, but merely me being bored and trying to ignite a convo, which as far as i can see it, worked. That's that.

Though rereading stuff now, i think it really is pretty much nonexistent. It seems more like new guy talk than scum talk, tbh. :/

Which leaves me with a blank slate once again...

I think i should address this as well. I will not deny that it was manipulative. It was. No way around that. But the thing is, I don't like being bored. I kept checking if anything new was being posted whole day with no success. That's why i decided to reread the thread and find something that would get a discussion going.
