Turn 4 Resolution


Xalxe: 6


Behind the store, standing a safe distance away from the burning Mercedes, Xalxe activates the Trenchcoat of Invisibility. There is the vaguest impression of a humming, too high-pitched to hear, and it powers on, rendering every part of him completely transparent to all light.

Including his eyes.

Event: Xalxe is now invisible in his trenchcoat.

Event: Xalxe is now blind, as he cannot interact with photons to see.


gandalf5166: 3


In the meantime, gandalf5166 starts collecting the cure vials (chiefly to keep them away from chesskid3 - and for good cause). He manages to find five of the six and return them to the case, but ends up wasting several minutes trying to locate the last.

gandalf5166 is now carrying
5 cure vials
in a medicine case.


chesskid3: 1


chesskid3, giving up on carrying the whole stock, attempts to crawl over and pick up just
one
of the cure vials. However, as he reaches for one, his hand gets accidentally trampled by gandalf5166 hurrying to beat him to it.

chesskid3 will be at -1 for any tasks involving manual dexterity for the next 2 turns.


jmj3000: 5-1 = 4


jmj3000 holds his hand up to his head and looks around. Suddenly, his vision resolves what gandalf5166 had been looting moments before: an open weapons safe.

jmj3000 is now carrying
a 20-gauge pump-action shotgun
loaded with
5 slugs
.


drmyshottyizsik: 2


drmyshottyizsik, satisfied with the effects of his Molotov, decides to further display his manliness by killin' some zombie with his bare hands. With a mighty whoop, he charges at the zombie chewing on the dead doctor, kicks it off, and seizes it by the neck to strangle it.

Which was a frankly brilliant move, given that zombies don't breathe.

drmyshottyizsik is now holding a zombie by the neck as it tries to bite him.


Reecer6: 3


Reecer6 quickly climbs over the shelf, dropping clumsily on the other side. He scoops up the vial, then checks the foot he landed on to see if he'll be slowed down.

Reecer6 is now carrying
1 cure vial
. He is healthy.




As drmyshottyizsik futilely squeezes the neck of one zombie, two more stagger out of the woods and start to approach him. The car and sign continue to burn, and the fire spreads up the outside wall and starts scorching the edge of the roof. Meanwhile, inside the store, the front door swings inward and open as a third new zombie staggers into the scene.

Deadline is two days from the time of this post - 3 p.m. EST, January 19.

5. drmyshottyizsik: Throw Current Zombie into fire, and then pick up a fallen fiery piece of wood and set the forest on fire.

6. Reecer6: Find a gun, brushes don't do very well as weapons.

Xalxe turns his invisibility trenchcoat down a notch. He can now see perfectly well, and he is invisible to both zombies and players.

gandalf5166: 4


gandalf5166's first few shots hit the zombie in the chest. Finally, a bullet burrows deep into its brain. The zombie keels over with a death moan.

gandalf5166 is now carrying
4 full magazines
and
a M9 with 11 bullets

chesskid3: 2


chesskid3 turns and dramatically runs out through the back gate, flailing around a little and making a noise like a dying goat. His fellow survivors ignore him, but the three zombies outside react to his noisy presence with eerie moans and stagger towards him.

jmj3000: 3-1=2


jmj3000 gropes around in the gun safe for a few more seconds, but only finds empty shell casings. At least his hand feels better now.

Event: jmj's manual dexterity penalty has expired.

Question from theplague42: Just wondering, but why would birdshot be more effective than slugs?


drmyshottyizsik: 3


drmyshottyizsik manages to push the zombie off of him, but soon gives up on dragging it to the fire. Instead, he runs over and grabs a burning branch, then throws it at the forest. Unfortunately, the forest is about 50 yards away.

Reecer6: 1 (speak of the devil!)


Reecer fumbles around for a few minutes, looking for another gun. Instead, he finds jmj's beartrap, which he immediately tries on to see if it fits. Unfortunately, it doesn't match his shirt. It's also too tight, leaving deep, jagged cuts in his ankle. Apparently beartraps are even less useful than brushes.

Event: Reecer is now wearing
a sprung beartrap
on his right foot. It will cause a -1 penalty for actions involving feet until two turns after the trap is removed.





The three remaining zombies walk closer and closer to chesskid, ignoring the doctor's body. He can see their rotting flesh, yellow teeth, and wild eyes hungering for food. Nearby, drmyshottyizsik watches, hoping his incident with the fire didn't attract the zombie's attention, and Xalxe stands comfortably hidden by his trenchcoat. The back of the liquor store is now completely scorched, and the flames lick fiercely across the roof. The Mercedes still burns fiercely, the fire growing closer and closer to the gas tank. Inside the store, Reecer6, jmj3000, and gandalf5166 compose themselves, carefully watching the seemingly dead zombie. Distant moans reach them through the open front door.

Spoiler: Turn 6 Actions
1. Xalxe: I stealthily slink into the forest and search for either a large branch to use as a beating stick or a few nice-sized rocks for throwin'.

2. gandalf5166: Action: Go up on the roof and see if I can see any nearby buildings we could escape to.
(Packbat: I would consider unlocking the hatch to the roof to suffice as an action.)

3. chesskid3: Imitate Zombies so they don't eat me.

4. jmj3000: Look under the counter for an ammo box.

5. drmyshottyizsik: Call in soviet air strike on forest.

6. Reecer6: Carefully maneuver the bear trap off me.

WOAH HE SAID SEEMINGLY.
