Metropolis: Revisited
, presented by
Backup mods and Reviewers: SpyreX and Percy

You are at an amusement park in the downtown area of a large city called Metropolis. This is the fourth in a series of Mafia games which take place in the Metropolis universe; the first was run on another Mafia site with a very similar theme. Two gangs called the Skull-Crushers and the Night Riders have been terrorizing the patrons of the amusement park, and fighting over their turf. The Skull-Crushers are a gothic gang with chains and black hair, and the Night Riders are a biker gang with leather and spikes. The object of the game is save yourself and the rest of the Citizens, and root out the gang members and kill them off before they have a chance to hurt you and any of your friends! Beware, however. There are many dangers that await you in the heart of the Big City, so watch your back!

Rules

General Rules
(
BaM
»
RC
» Metropolis » 1.0)

  1. Make sure to follow the sitewide rules, too.
  2. Play to fulfill your win condition, as specified in your Role PM.
  3. Each Day will last ~16 days; each Night will last ~48 hours. This may vary somewhat; probably not
    .
    [See below.]

  4. Votes must be
    bolded
and at the start of a line. Unvotes are not required to change your vote
    .
    [See below.]

  5. Lynching requires a majority vote. If a majority is not reached before deadline, the Day will end without a lynch
    .
    [See below.]

  6. When a majority is reached, Twilight begins. All players are allowed to post during Twilight, even the lynchee
    .
    [See below.]

  7. One "Bah" post is allowed. Do not post anything that could be construed as game related information
    .
    [See below.]

  8. Do not communicate outside this thread without permission. You will be told if you are an exception to this rule.
  9. Do not quote any mod communication, or anything which originated outside of the game thread.
  10. Caps lock (or the appearance thereof) can and will get you modkilled or force-replaced. Do not test me.
  11. Do not edit or delete your posts, if you have access to do so.
  12. Do not post in sizes smaller than the default, encrypt anything in your posts, or post in colors other than the default.
  13. Prods occur after 72 hours without a post. After another 48 hours, a second prod is issued.
  14. Unannounced inactivity for a week or more (regardless of game phase) results in modkill.
  15. If you must go V/LA, please post a notice in-thread
    and
    send me a PM beforehand.
  16. If you need to speak with me, you can either send me a PM or ask in-thread using
    Mod: Message
    . Both are fine.
  17. Any and all of the above rules are subject to change at any time, and without notification.
Game-Specific Rules

  1. Regular lynch voting will not occur in this game.
In place of lynch votes, you may strike a blow to your target. As this signifies mob rule, blows cannot be taken back once placed. When 40%+ of players strike someone, it will cause them to be sent to the hospital tent at Night, and they will not be able to use any specialized role actions they may possess. However, enough blows struck (60%+ of living players) will kill someone. This is the equivalent of lynching someone in a normal game.
Each player may strike only one blow per day
, so choose wisely who it is you are beating on with that baseball bat.
  2. The Inner Circle has one (1) bulletproof vest at their disposal.
They may allow any one member of their group to wear it at any time. It will guard the player from any attacks directed at him, and has unlimited use. The bulletproof vest may change hands only once per phase, whether Day or Night. At the beginning of the phase, the Inner Circle must specify which member wears the bulletproof vest, and that player will be granted kill immunity for the entirety of the phase.
  3. [Supersedes #3 above]
    Each Day will last ~21 days;
each Night will last ~72 hours
. This may vary somewhat; probably not.
  4. [Supersedes #4 above]
When you strike someone, it must be
    bolded
and at the start of a line. You cannot take strikes back.
  5. [Supersedes #5 above]
Beating someone to death requires a 60%+ majority. If this is not reached before deadline, the Day will end without a death.
  6. [Supersedes #6 above]
When a 60%+ majority is reached, Twilight begins. Only players who have not been mob-killed may post during Twilight.
  7. [Supersedes #7 above]
    "Bah" posts are not allowed.
Do not post anything after you have been beaten to death by the mob.
  8. [Supersedes both #3'
    s
    above]
Important modification to the rules in this post:
As of Day 8, this game will be Nightless.

Can we strike multiple people or what? And they all heal to 100% the next day?

Affirmative. There is no unstriking either.

I admit, that idea popped into my head as well.

If it weren't for the DSK, having a cop claim and follow him to victory would be pretty broken. No strategy involved, obv, but a reliable method to win.
