The point of RVs is to apply pressure and see how people react to it. Your first two votes (the Greymarble one especially) were wastes. They applied zero pressure on the person that you voted because of the extreme haste in which you changed your vote.

Fair enough I still hold my reason for switching off hiplop

The only other person I think is acting scummy at this point is twisted spoon and that's from his first post, I get a nice town read from you because you are applying pressure. I'm not sure about earworm, he says that me going off greymarble wasn't that justified, but I did apply some more pressure to GM, and I am still kind of wondering why he jumped on a bandwagon that already had two on there during RVS when he later stated that Hiplop has a slight town read due to not having replied by PM.

While bgg does have a point that peaf has posted he hasn't done much scumhunting or pressure applying.

I fully understand all votes against me and I have explained my position for doing what I have done, I guess part of it is living and learning

so we follow the assumption here that scum don't apply pressure?
And even If we do I've seen players like earworm 'apply pressure' too

this seems a bad excuse for a townread

Ok, its probably more to how he applied pressure, though that read could be off simply because he was being nice about it, probably not a good idea to be doing reads on pepper on my wagon unless I can tell they 're serious about it

Peaf wrote:I do find it weird that bgg defended me when I honestly feel there's nothing much to defend me from. "Forget Peaf" is a really weird thing to say. bgg might be scum who doesn't care about some new guy, and is more threatened by someone else or something. Also, when he says "let's wait for something to happen" I feel like he's not looking for scum at all. Like, what kind of scumhunting is that - "when someone says they're scum I'll vote for them" is what I'm reading from that.

I'm not defending you. I'm attacking the argument against you.
It's just a bad case. I didn't say that we should just wait for something to happen, I only said that not much has happened yet, and it's expected that people don't have many opinions.

For you to think it scummy, either you need to think that the case against you was solid, or that I only have this opinion as scum.

Peaf wrote:lolwut @ avatar vote

There's really no thing as a random vote IMO - if it were "random" you'd be using something akin to random.org, and if that's how you guys scumhunt here then I anticipate this being my last game. And if you're not using a randomizer, then I can assume you have a motive for your vote, whatever it may be. Sure, get into shittons of WIFOM trying to find a motive, so there's not much of a point in doing only that.

Now I know I'm new here, but monk explicitly saying "you're voting me since I'm new" is really really dumb. Pulling the newbie card is never good for yourself or for the game.

Also, that was legitimate excitement, it's always fun joining a new community. >_>

and what the hell are hydras

Yep this is true so I'll help you along with my motives as there were two:

1. You don't have a Avatar, voting for you because of this may possibly encourage you to get one which will make my enjoyment of the game marginally more than might otherwise be the case.

Bit more importantly.

2. Early votes in the game are generally to gauge a reaction to move the game out of RVS - as a new player to the site, you are a pretty good option for this to see if you panic over collecting a vote early doors which can be a scum-sign.

It was the second vote of the game, of course it was an RV. But to be honest, it was more for the sake of starting a wagon than anything else.

THE COUNCIL

GreyMarble
ZachRulez
Final Destination

We three will have an epic LyLo. If either of you is scum you have to promise NOT to kill the others on the council, or else be held to the meta of a lying an immoral scumbag for the rest of our games here on this site. If all of us are town the scum have to eliminate us one by one before we destroy this game.

Now the REST of you peons will have to fight over who will be lynched, and the council will make the final 3 voting bloc hammer.

Fight amongst yourselves.

Here are my reads as they are vague and imperfect:
THE TOWNIES:

FD, you're reads are way off, peaf has just as much newbscum'd as I have, if you can't tell I'm not too fussed by the votes on me at this point.
Also what's the point of your epic lylo, it only serves to group the three of you to be an untouchable group who for all us peons know are all scum.

I have given my reasons why I don't agree with your reads, specifically mine, peaf's and bgg's. If you want to chalk that up to me being scum go ahead. You've basically been tunnelling me ever since I said "oh I'm a newb, you're probably voting for me to get me to squirm" to Zachrulez, in the end I know I'm not scum and I know that someone knows that I'm not scum.

I'm wary of FD that he knows me and I don't know him. I'm (in)famous for my peafjournals - or rather, huge walls of text of my stream of consciousness as I reread previous days. Also, how do you know Baku and Speed? Speed's actually the guy that told me to try out mini-normals.

That being said, the voting block is incredibly stupid. I trust myself here, and that's it. If one of the three of you strike me as scum, I won't hold back in attacking you just because you're on some dumb council. For all I know, the 3 of you could be the 3 scum in the game. Anyone who asks me for their trust this early is going to get just the opposite.

Monk saying that I've newbscum'd as much as he has is, in my eyes, him admitting that he's newbscum. LOL @ him thinking a player can't change what he thinks of other players, though.

Don't see how sarcasm junk adds anything to scumhunting, bgg, and the "oh I was being sarcastic, you couldn't tell? ;_;" is a horrible defense and I'm ashamed that someone here used sarcasm as a defense for
anything

Final destination, make sure you don't tunnel. It seems you're preparing for that, one of your "council" members could easily be scum, if you go through game assuming they're town, we could mess up big time. Scummiest thing so far, is that BGG thing where he said kondi2424 was being scummy, i know as scum i used to just pick a name that i tthought i could lynch nad say their being wscummy, i think hes doing the same
