ooba's wrong.

Conventional war, D1-D2, has three non-town-directed kills (2 SK, 1 Mafia). So even if you think that "nukenukeseveryonenukes" is a good plan, we can get to D3 with *at worst* 14 of 19 town before going "omgimgoingtonukescumandbeanhero"...but with two Days of interactions and flips to start with.

Secondly, going "omgimgoingtonukescumandbeanhero" D1 immediately tells the mafia that you're not one of the PRs. Conventional war gives us 2 cop/tracker reports, and maybe 2 rolecop reports if we get that, though that's less likely.

During DEFCON 5, players confirm by choosing whether to declare “Total War” or fight conventionally. If ALL players vote to go to Total War, DEFCON 3 and 2 will be skipped; the game will proceed immediately to DEFCON 1 following DEFCON 4. Otherwise, the stages will progress as normal.
I hereby dub MagnaofIllusion NO FUN.

In all seriousness, Magua has pretty much said everything I would (and more <_< ) about the setup from a reviewer's standpoint... not to mention it's kind of a waste of the setup.

I feel the same way on the Total War thing, though it's too late to chime in. We'll get to the excess radiation soon enough!

Confirm quick; the sooner Defcon 5 ends, the less pregame chat scum gets.

Looking at it marginally, total war adds an extra scum kill, potentially two sub kills one of which is the terrorist, and at most five extra townie-driven nukes which aren't guaranteed to hit scum and even if they do hit scum it's unlikely to provide as much information as 2 normal days to start off with. I don't think there's any way I can support total war here unless there was some serious number crunching to back it up.

Why at most 5 town nukes?

Confirming in the sense that I've read my role PM, but I still haven't decided whether or not to vote total warfare yet. Big analysis post coming tomorrow when I'm more lucid. I'm trying to see if there's a way to completely break this game, but the terrorist role throws a wrench into things.

As a proud American. I pledge to hunt down Euro Cowards with my arsenal of Nuclear weapons. Anyone who thinks we should sit back and "analyze" is really a euro-sympathizer/scumbag

or just a coward.

i hope you guys are true americans like me and also want to arm your nuke silos.

I'm going to grab a case of beer and then figure out who to fire my nukes at later.

this is the only american way to win

since the coward french can only drink wine.

Its kinda sad that IS didn't hit the game in time.
I think a conversation between him and Pooky (IS 2.0) would have been amusing.

It's way too confusing on top of being pretty scum-sided, imo.
