@Greyice-
How about you cut the crap and play the game? Flailing around randomly D1 like an idiot is just going to waste time and peg you for a useless VI. If you're scum, then keep it up, but if you're town, you're just going to hurt your credibility when you try to play seriously later. In either case, you're just setting yourself up as lynch bait (either as a mislynch or a sacrificial bus) and that's clearly not playing to your win con.

Kast you are aware that ICE's lastpost is sarcastic right? it was a real claim. What the hell is the bold supposed to mean? You think as scum he's going to sacrifice himself right away just so the other scums can bus him on a wagon with 14 people on it? /mindblown

where has GI flailed around here or lost credibility? he claimed and sort of explained amrun's post. It seems to me you are trying to discredit GreyIce where there doesn't seem a need to be.

Please clarify if your claim is serious.
-If so, does your power ALSO prevent a watcher from seeing the ACTUAL culprit? (This should be a no-brainer to share if you're seriously claiming)
-Would your ability false track to protected and/or kill immune targets (ie. failed kill attempts)?

What's ironic is that you seem to be feeling the waters with those comments. By mentioning what you don't like, but yet not voting.

Not bothering too much with the claim for now. We'll see how it goes when needed.

That's NOT a random vote.

- Tar

I assume a certain experience we both just suffered, and that Starbuck was included in. I'd launch into details, but it's not a mafia game that did not occur and that I certainly was never a part of.

I'd be interested in hearing more about this - from Amrun, mind you, I'm an old fan of "let the player answer before you speculate on their motives". Cult speculation is a BAD thing, townies shouldn't do it without a good reason (flipped cultist, claimed role that deals with cult, etc.).

Otherwise you get games like Mind Screw 3, where everyone's too busy hunting cult to hunt Mafia.

Why SpyreX and not GreyICE or drewoftherushes, who are also not voting anyone?

drewoftherushes is voting someone, just not in that post. GreyICE at least did something to help the town in his post. Look at SpyreX's two posts and tell me how they were anything but complete fluff.

Oh right, drew was first post. Derp.

My phone is. About to die so I can't finish reading the thread, but I will say this:

The last time I played with Starbuck, she outted her own cult recruiter out of butthurt. It was such an egregious example of playing against wincon that she was warned and put on probation, iirc.

I have no personal problem with Starbuck, but that warrants an RVS warning that such things will not be tolerated a second time.

Why people actually thought I was talking about cults in a way unrelated to my vote on Starbuck I don't know, but Tar needs to explain why that's a scumtell and. When I can read I will analyze sheepers (ani comes to mind).

The volume of wrong in this is greater than the number of words. That's a hard thing to do and you should commend yourself.

1.) Your justification of your vote is such a blatant and beautiful strengthening after the fact that I can't even comprehend.
2.) To events that actually could have happened before your vote, what in there is fluff. I mean, maaybe, maaaybe the angle of "Look he believes it because GI is town and he is scum and andn adnad and and" could have been genuine but fluff? My lord.
3.) Yea call out number two as fluff because it is mostly fluff and I said so myself kudos.

----

So @CJ et al:

Here's the issue I'm bashing my head against:

GI claiming an interesting miller variant: Good
Kast asking for some fairly relevant clarifiaction: Good
GI's response to Kast: Whaaat?
Kast's response to GI: Whaaaat?

Now I'm lord of the scum teaparty paranoia but I can't see any avenue FROM THAT that isn't town/town feelings fight 2011. Scum on scum makes no sense and scum on town either way doesn't make a lot of sense.

That aside:

CJ wrote:I'd be interested in hearing more about this - from Amrun, mind you, I'm an old fan of "let the player answer before you speculate on their motives". Cult speculation is a BAD thing, townies shouldn't do it without a good reason (flipped cultist, claimed role that deals with cult, etc.).

This is absolutely true and I do actually want that explained from the horses mouth. I'm pretty sure via shenanigans I know whats up but.

I'll link if anyone cares, but think of the worst game of mafia that never happened and this was worse than all the other games of mafia that never happened (including the fact that it was won by a serial killer who DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS A SERIAL KILLER until the game didn't end when the last scum was lynched)

Okay, read.

Lobster, why place an rvs vote and FoS someone in the same post?

Ani, why did you vote for me? Explain what you thought I was saying.

(Tar answered this question within the thread already.)

Kast, why did you call Grey a VI? What basis do you have for this?

Ace, why is two posts of supposed fluff a scumtell at this stage of the game?

Not really seeing the case on Kast yet, though I don't exactly like his posts, either.

Amrun- Acted weird with the cult mention (DESPITE reasoning given, still out of place). However, since then he's acted pretty normally, except his focus is to clear that up. I don't like it yet I can't call him scum for it because it's a stupid mistake similar to many I've made as town; I'll cautiously say town now.

My issue was with chesskid and not with cults, but apparently, people don't like to know the whole story behind things, especially when chesskid still won't let the cult QT be seen by anyone who wasn't playing.

I made one mistake during my two years tenure here and I've learned from it. Obviously, some people can't let go.

I have played in other games SINCE TWD, but I guess you couldn't think about that fact either. I'm also damn sure it won't be tolerated. Last I knew coming into a game with ANY GRUDGE was against site rules. I've let all that shit go and I'll even play with chesskid again. Instead of just being adult about it and bringing up this concern in the sign up thread, you had to wait and do it here? That's mature? As I said, if this was an issue, you should have brought it up in the sign up thread when I signed up.

Because a cult mention in any RVS situation is asinine to begin with. You said it and didn't explain it fully, and wonder why people found you scummy for it? Come on, you are not this dense.

Seriously, it was just an RVS vote. I didn't recognize most of the players and wanted to say hello to someone. I don't think you would do such a thing again or I would have /outted. I considered RVSing Grey because he flaked out in [redacted], but it's [redacted] so I didn't. It's not a grudge and grudges aren't against the rules anyway.
