It is simple. Though I'm curious as to why you qualified your original statement with "since the RVS is over," your logic for not voting is sound.

However, what originally drove me to vote, was the fact that you made the statement in the first place. As we both agree, the logic is simple - to the extent that I doubt anyone would suspect you for not voting (again, not what I've ever suspected you for). Why bother to tell us such an obvious fact? A trait I've noticed in various mafia games throughout the interwebs is that scum, more specifically newer scum, tend to want to make sure that everyone knows why they are doing what they are doing, so that they won't get suspected for it. Your statement seems to fall in line with that. Paranoid about being called out in the early game, so you over-clarify your stance on why its too early to take a stance.

Nothing else strikes me as scummy enough for a vote, so I'd probably vote someone who hadn't posted yet. Too early to call someone a lurker, but I could try to stop active lurking before it began.

you should always vote. If you have no clue who the scum are vote your gut scum read or a random player

Having played with Papa zito, Hoopla and other veterans, one of the thing's I've been taught is that not voting anyone is near always anti-town and there is no town motivation for it

RVS just doesn't end for no reason

the act of ending RVS usually causes you to have developed reads from RVS and thus don't need to make a random vote but can vote a scumread

in other words, RVS isn't when random votes are, but Random votes are in RVS
we only RVS at the start of a game because we have no reads at the start and when there are no developed reads then RVS is the only way to go
