so like this is what I have:

town:

kcda
NS
jazz
donjosh

scum:

projectmatt

--

Why is projectmatt scum?

Tried way too hard to 'fit in' and be like NS/kcda on p1. Typical of scum trying to fit in with town. <- that was the initial reasoning for my vote
Subsequent posts from him don't make me feel any better about his alignment. Weak case on DonJosh, who's like Easy Target A, seems like he's trying way too hard to justify his vote and, well, DonJosh isn't even playing like scum, IMO.
The dichotomy between jazz and donjosh that projectmatt created is also worthy of note. It's a cop-out thing to say, because he's not entitled to back it up if DonJosh is town.

Y'all made a lot of posts, and I'm not really sure how many of them are serious right now.

This is my first non-newbie game (even when I play on other sites, I play the newbie setups) so I thought the quality of posts would be a little higher. Maybe you're all just picking up on things that I'm not seeing, but when everyone posts such throwaway comments and short posts, it makes it hard to remember who's talking to whom, who's voting for whom, and whatever else kind of actions are going on in the thread. I could be wrong, but it seems to me like it would be more beneficial if we put a little more thought into each post. Please inform me if there's a reason short posts work better for town.

That said, it seems like I will have to go back and read what's transpired again and take notes, because I currently can't remember.

I'd also like to point out that I am at work right now, and the nature of my job means that I could suddenly get very busy and not be able to post. So if I disappear, that'd be why. I will often be more inclined to participate in this game between the hours of 8 p.m. and midnight ET. Just a heads up.

Okay, I have a better understanding now. The only noteworthy activity I've seen so far comes from projectmatt, Donjosh, Kcdaspot, and zMuffinMan, although DCJ has been participating just as much but hasn't said anything noteworthy yet. Ideally, more people should be posting. I'd like to see more from don_johnson, SGRaaize and bv310 in particular.

I'm confused about posts #33 through #41 — can someone explain what happened with the reroll and why at first people thought Big Sleep (now me) was scum and then decided there was nothing to prove it? Can someone also please explain when the pregame took place and exactly when it ended? I feel particularly lacking in these two areas and want to make sure I'm on the same page.

"Noteworthy" meaning I've been able to make some kind of read based on what they've been saying. My reads on Kcdaspot and Nobody Special may depend on my understanding of #33 through #41. So please help.

It was overly defensive because, I, to be honest was getting aggravated with getting attacked with absolutely no reasoning. It is a terrible pet peeve. I'm not apologizing for that post, though. There's no reason to believe that I am bussing when I am not.

Tried way too hard to 'fit in' and be like NS/kcda on p1. Typical of scum trying to fit in with town. <- that was the initial reasoning for my vote

I was randomly voting and simply having fun on page 1. I actually started to play the game come page 2. My case on DonJosh isn't weak. I can't build up an entire wall of text on somebody based off of these few pages, but I work with what I have, and what I have is scummy.

Oh - and I already quoted the post which would lead me to believe so. I can tell you why, but the answer should be obvious.

I'm actually surprised, though that you think DonJosh is town. Can you elaborate on some of these tells please?

I woke up and re-read the entire thread. I still have my initial reads from last night: Kdcaspot is probably town and DonJosh is a good wagon.

HAH! Welcome to MafiaScum, RealWorld edition.

Some games have higher quality levels than others; it essentially depends on the playerlist and the Mod (No offense intended to anyone here; just an observation. You get a large group of people like this together, and the group dynamics in re: behavior can fluctuate wildly).

Honest Abel wrote:I'm confused about posts #33 through #41 — can someone explain what happened with the reroll and why at first people thought Big Sleep (now me) was scum and then decided there was nothing to prove it? The re-roll happened because the game is a Night start and Night Zero was mistakenly skipped. To ensure a valid game, the Mod re-rolled and gave us all new alignments & roles.

Big Sleep was judged according to his pre-game comments; I'll link you to the old thread if the Mod says it's okay.

Honest Abel wrote:Has bv310 been prodded?

Since the thread's been open slightly over 24 hours, and the prod threshold is 72, I would say no. (Also, since the Mod's sig syas he needs 1 replacement, it may be bv310 that is being replaced.)

So pregrame refers to the previous thread? But if you guys knew that a reroll happened, why jump on Big Sleep for switching out? Or did you not know there was a reroll at that point? Because I actually read the previous aborted thread before I even joined this game (because I was interested in C9++) and it says right at the end that a reroll is happening.

So does that mean you guys have the same roles you had as the last roll? Or you hadn't yet gotten PMs? I'm very confused.

You must have gotten role PMs if the mafia got to choose to kill Jason, right?

A full reroll means that everyone's role was switched with another role, along with alignment. Whether or not our roles are the same as last time, no one can really say without outting themselves.

So just know that a reroll happened, and move on, as it has no relevance to the current thread.

Also I may be a bit slower than the rest of you, but I'm not seeing where yer all getting your reads from.
But then it takes me 10 or 20 pages to actually get to the meat of a game on Day 1, as far as MafiaScum games go.

So who knows.

Sure.

Also: NS is right that prods go out after 72 hours of inactivity and the game hasn't been open close to that long. In addition, everyone was PMed that the game was open.

And final clarification: This is essential a different game of C9++ with the same players. Not only were the roles re-randomised, the entire setup was.

Actually, it does have a bit of significance if someone did something significant in the other game thread and we still have the same roles. The difference is that it means whether or not we can analyze the previous material to count toward our reads of people, if there is indeed anything noteworthy in the aborted thread.

I'm hearing a lot about how a reroll happened, and I'm inclined to believe it, but based on the way some are acting, it seems at least a few people have the same roles.
