The mechanic that really comes into play here is hidden votes. The scum being Daykillers means that the town gets to react instantly to that (like in a nightless). However, since the hidden votes come at Night, they can't just say, "Oh, I voted for this player. Oh wait, I'll change it to this player," the idea being that if you announce your vote, you have to stick to it or be a liar.

THAT SAID, Idk what really happened here, since I kind of never looked back after I got killed Day 1, Ffff.

In several occasions that I've played elsewhere, after a maf win, Town has complained about how terribly Town played and that Scum got lucky, etc., while Scum counter with "But making Town misplay is what we do!". Games like this are why I'm usually complaining with Town after those games. Occasionally, someone will just play amazing Scum and fool us all into a well deserved Scum win. Ace did that for sure. GG Scum.

it's bugging me that people are implying that I was a helpless sheep in LYLO. I always thought ace was town -UNLESS i made it to LYLO, in which case clearly he would look suspect.
However, Visc opening LYLo post made me suspect of him. After that though, with his obviously genuine responses, and aces lurking it was obvious as hell that ace was scum.

BUt props to ace, he played a great game up until LYLO, when he lost his nerve a bit I thought.

Doing more in that period would direct scum, no doubt. It's why Town doesn't talk during Night, even when it's allowed. That plus the 48 hours to vote after discussion stops (which imo should be removed if similar set-ups are ever hosted) meant we had functionally 4+ days of Night to 3 days of Day.

Wow, I really felt like that could have gone either way for, like, the entire game >_> We got lucky as hell with the Otolia early kill and the IS lynch turned out to be a good thing eventually I suppose, although I didn't actually plan it to go down that way. We won in equal parts due to good play, outing PRs early, and luck imo.

I actually thought we were 100% going to lose after IS got lynched, but somehow it gained me enough town-cred for me to take down Junpei D3 (who I was pretty sure was the only one seeing through what happened at that point) and after that I began to think the odds had changed.

Seeing how the game went down, I would say that the general mechanics is this game were interesting but overall bad. The influence of voting pattern on scumhunting was overlooked and it ends up favoring a scum win totally randomly. Considering ace bussed twice while still being able to get away was surprising considering he hadn't much to show as town.

I am now sure that keeping books on voting intentions would have been the best way to corner scum to choose between being honest and trying to manipulate the town. Aside from that, there isn't much to say, the game was enjoyable though very short for the town PR.

This game was...weird. I wish mozamis hadn't come off so scummy right into the last day, because I had convinced myself it was Ace (as made apparent in my posting)...but somewhere along the lines, mozamis scummy play blinded me to all that and I ended up making the wrong choice. Sorry again everyone, I'm bad at this game.

For the record, when you voted made no difference. If you sent me your vote during the day, I plugged it in my spreadsheet. If you changed it, I changed it. I only did a final tally just before I posted the morning scene.
