Yeah I've been joining Torment runs in Adventure mode, it's quite fun. This game feels pretty great, finally!
I got a couple legendaries yesterday and they were all pretty sweet. Got the Nemesis Bracers (that spawn elites when you use shrines), got The Oculus, got a sweet legendary headpiece, too.
ummm sheet dps doesn't mean shit anymore.
I have 300k dps and i farm torment fine because of % damage modifiers on items
In comparison the person i farm a lot with has 400k dps but doesn't do nearly the same damage that I do and can't farm torment on her own.
but yeah if you can't burst mobs fairly quickly in torment you're better off farming in master or blitz farming normal bounties.
I really like rift farming too. A week of blitz farming bounties has worn me out so I'm doing torment rift runs. Getting some nice stuff i guess.
I keep getting legendary and set plans, which while not bad is not ideal since legendary crafting is pretty hard now.
fucking legendary mats.
also the fact that the new Hellfire Ring has a % chance to drop on the keys from the Keywardens, then you need to go fight the bosses in the realm and those only have a % chance to drop the organs... fuuuuck that
you say new but it's been like that for awhile lol
i only need one more organ for mine but i'm too lazy to farm infernal machines (you need at least 3 of them at one time to get into all the zones)
so for a guaranteed run for all the organs you'll need at least 12 machines (if you're solo).
I got two organs using 5 machines but i only built 2 of them myself. Public games op.
Honestly a hellfire ring won't be best in slot for like 80% of the characters in this game.
If you're on a witch doctor and you're INT stacking with soul harvest then it's really good just because of all the flat stats it gives, but the overall DPS output is pretty meh.
I think because of that fact a lot of people don't bother; it's a huge time investment for something that's not endgame gear.
I have 250k dps, but something like +83% fire damage, and another +8% cluster arrow damage. Torment 1 is a little hairy, but that's more lack of survivability than lack of damage (if I had someone to tank it'd go fast)
Also. Barbarians seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to DPS, was looking at the top barbs, and the top barbs didn't even break 800k dps, on their sheet...
I'm like 465kish I think...

RC does not have my stash of animal porn, I promise you.
Sheet DPS is largely unimportant as long as you've got a plan, for instance my monk has a sheet dps of 281k but I do T2 rifts without an issue due to my build / itemizations. Right now I'm focused around making my targets take increased damage (16% from aura, 22% from bracers, 20% from exploding palm), increasing my damage dealt (15% from deadly reach and 19% from my bracers) and just using exploding palm procs (50% of monsters maximum hp x 1.92 = 96% of monsters maximum hp dealt) to wipe mobs. It's a fun build because scaling up the torment just makes it harder to kill the first one to start the chain going.
The only downside to this build is that the bonus hp that monsters get for having more players in the game does not effect the damage that exploding palm does so any more then 2 players in a game and suddenly you can't just blow up everything, however its still effective with more players because you're still bringing large amount of damage amplification to the table and the other players are able to nuke down the marked targets to get the chain going.
Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up
I just got ros. It's awesome. With my build I can still do torment 1 act 5 relatively easily. I have 26 paragon and it feels a lot easier to make paragon levels.
Windows hasn't detected any keyboard. Press Enter.
Got RoS yesterday (well, Sat night but I didn't have time to play), been playing with some RL friends. My tag is posted in here somewhere, I think it's Glork#1521 but not 100% on that.
Also, taking my Wizard to 70 (I'm like half a level away), then I'll be leveling a Crusader if anyone wants to zerg campaign/power level with me sometime.
In post 591, Glork wrote:Crusader is super fun so far. Only like level 20, I basically had no time to play today.
If you want to do some powerleveling on a few characters I can help. There's an "exploit" right now where a party owner can create a game on Torment 1-2 to get the XP bonus, then other players can join in and it'll still be the difficulty level of the player who created the party.
I did 40-55 in about 45 minutes and supposedly you can go 1-50 in an hour total.
alternatively you can swap characters before you submit the quest at the end of a nephalem rift for massive xp.
obviously you'd still need to be in a party.
So i just got the game, beat the campaign, leveled a wizard to 70. I have no clue how to proceed from this point. I can only do expert at a reasonable speed, Master is okay, but i can't kill treasure goblins and bosses/elites are HARD.
Drop the difficulty until you can solo kill elites and bosses really quickly. Killing 5 elites in 10 minutes on a lower difficulty is statistically better than killing 2 elites in 6 minutes in a higher one. Always. It's why you see T6 geared people farming T3.
I haven't actually been play D3 because I decided to try to climb ladder in LoL, so there might be some new optimal strategies (check Reddit tbh)
I know that if you're not geared for torment then farm horadric caches. Look into your class and find the Best in Slot builds and cache items and farm the shit out of those until you get good rolls.
Once you get into torment you're basically doing the same thing (bounties) but also killing rift bosses for the class set pieces.
Don't worry about doing rifts unless you're in at least T1 (the drops vs cost isn't worth it)
TL;DR farm bounties until you can handle T1 to get through it pretty quickly.
