Strykker, maybe you aren't understanding who Jack Torrence was is his movie. In "The Shining" he was the guy that went whacko and tried to kill his family. He was hardly a "good guy" in the movie. Him being a good guy in this game would seem to support that a character like Dracula would definitely be a good guy.
You don't believe the claim and that is a totally different can of worms, but using the death of the Torrance Townie doesn't really support that position.

I couldn't remember who Jack Torrence was at frist, so I had to google it when I read the night post. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" is his famous movie line. Actually though I've heard about the movie, I never read the book or saw more than the very end of the movie.

The Number 1 reason I don't believe you claim is because it feels to me like a role you made up yourself as opposed to a role that was given to you. All the scum have safe claims and to me that feels like one of them.

You are the one that pointed out that the mafia got "safe claims" but you don't believe his claim because you think he made it up himself.
If he is indeed a bad guy he wouldn't NEED to make up a claim himself...he would have been given one, right?

It seems to me like you are trying really hard to get the guy who says he can't be night-killed killed during the day.

I'm Samara Morgan from The Ring. Every other night I climb down into my well and hide, causing any attempts to kill me to fail.

I've been trying to decide whether Nightfall is telling the truth or not, but I really can't see how the mod could put two of these sort of roles in the same game, unless the Mafia is ridiculously strong.

I've never seen the ring, does she actually hide in the well? A wikipedia article says her body was found in the well, but doesn't say anything about hiding.

Also, how does revealing this role help us get scum? Why roleclaim a self protector role under no lynch preasure out of the blue?

She didn't actually hide, I don't think. Her soul was trapped in the well and she would come out occasionally to kill, then would return to the safety of her well when she wasn't killing. I'm assuming that the hiding was flavor from the mod.

And I roleclaimed because I can't imagine the mod putting two such roles in the game unless we had a super-mafia. Roleclaiming was the only way to let you know this, and I think it may have caught us some scum.

No she didn't actually hide. I too find it hard to see why there would be two of us with the same (or exceptionally close) roles. As far as my role goes though I'm telling the truth. I guess we must have a pretty strong mafia in this game. Also, do you have any additional powers?

Nightfall, I don't think your last question is appropriate, since quoting a Mod's PM is against the rules.

I don't believe that there are two equal roles ability-wise, especially two unnightkillable. One of the two is lying, I guess.

I still don't like Strykker's attitude, but I think we have a pretty good chance to nail scum with Nightfall, right now.

D_rouge, sorry if this is obvious but..., would not saying the words but what they actually represent (?) be quoting the mod too?

All> O.k, I' m getting the fealing that I'm getting really close to being lynched off, so I think I'm going to have to come out and say this. I was telling the truth about my Dracula claim, I am infact Dracula, however as I have tried to hint at, but only a few picked up on, I was holding something back when it came to my role claim. It is true that I cannot die during the night time, but it is not for the reason stated. Shortly after my claim Max pointed out that since my "role" was now revealed, I wouldn't trick any scum into targeting me at night. I thought about this before I claimed and decided to say what I did in the hopes that the scum might target me, doubting my claim. I was hoping this would be the case since it could help the town greatly. My role is not an immune/bullet proof townie. I am however a "Reflector". Without exactly quoting my pm I can tell you that the reason I wouldn't die during the night is the fact that the scums kill would be reflected back to them. The same goes for Cop and Doc roles that would use their powers on me. Earlier I raised the possibility that our cop could investigate me and clear me. This is the first game I have been in with a reflector role, so I wasn't sure what result the cop would get, but I thought he would get a result of either "innocent" or a message saying that "You investigated *Cop* and found him/her to be innocent". Either one, I would think would be enough to clear me. I'm sorry that I didn't tell 100% of the truth in my claim, but I thought it would be best if I kept the reflective part secret. (Max>Sorry, it looks like no one will be targeting me tonight afterall, I may not even still be here...). I understand that this makes me look really scummy, and that it may cause me to be lynched, so I would understand if I was.

I have no additional powers other than nightkill immunity every other night. And quoting any part of my PM like that would very well result in a modkill.

And I'm sorry, Nightfall, but I completely disbelieve you now. Dracula being unkillable at night semi-makes sense, but him being a reflector? That's completely random.

As for a super-mafia, I dunno. If we both actually are hiding/reflecting roles, the mod may have pumped up the mafia by giving them extra powers. In chat games I've seen mafia target-switchers and hypnotists and roleblockers before. I only seen these a couple of times in regular games, though.

Anyways, if we have a vigilante, I'd like him to target me tonight. I didn't go to my well last night, so I will tonight, and the kill won't affect me. Hopefully it'll show you guys that I'm telling the truth.

I have reasons to disbeleive roland's claim, though I have to admit a dracula reflector seems odd too.
