i don't get the hammer. yes they had 2 players very strongly convinced they were scum but vm was probably the lynch. so eh the quickhammer felt a tactically poor play. at the very least n and soul could have used some more towncred from lynching you normally.

The ability of friends to confirm each other based on past games in the beginning hurt a lot. Like the Cerulean+JT combo that left a really solid town block of 4! People that could sway a lot of things.

I did think the hammer was quite Chicken Little but oh well

Well played, and congrats, Town. Challenging games are a delight to see and be a part of. While we definitely had issues with the quality of the replacements, this does not take away from good play. Sorry for the f(l)ail, Oversoul/Mehdi/N. You held on to your end of the rope quite well.


The hammer

actually decided by both of us; I was online at the time. We thought we didn't have much of a way out and shoved one lynch of four in while we could, especially to try and cut connections that could catch the whole team later in the game.


And this game got me a new hydra partner, so that's something. ^_^

Regarding the setup, I get what you are saying about the playerlist getting better as opposed to worse. To town, it was beneficial because town were able to follow the lead of Cerulean and JT and scum were powerless to stop them. I still think if I were scum, it would have ridiculously hard to get away with no nightkills. For instance, if Cerulean suspected anyone, there would have been literally no way to worm out of it considering they were near confirmed.

On the flip side, playing with good players was great. Empire and Regfan in particular provided very good analysis and set the bar high. I am impressed.

Also, I don't understand why replacements were in an issue in this game. Anyone care to elaborate?

I said it in the scum qt, but I think it's hilarious that Thor always reads me as scum and then, when I actually am scum, decides that I'm town.

I'd really like to give props to Mehdi for my abysmal play and activity. A LOT of shit happened in my life during this game and while I expected to have a fair amount of business I was not expecting nearly the amount of work and crap I would have to deal with.

I think if I had been around earlier I would have lost some of my towncred from the walls I did, but potentially weakened the towncred of others.

I had a few fairly dubious meta things to get Thor and Piggy with but never got the chance due to time constraints that made those opinions seem untimely and awkward in my opinion.

Yet again I loved playing with Mehdi and I am happy I was able to hydra with him. If you all get the chance, play with him again. It really is fun lol.

Thor, your sense of humor gets me. I do like playing with you even though I think I'm Reading a different language.

Reg+Faraday, yes that was fake rage. :p I was not mad at you two other than the "Not again...." annoyance factor.

I think I realised this too late. Early on, both were looking at lynching Jesse, so I was happy to let them be obvtown. But as that last day went on, I was trying to discredit JT and was going to push a Deadpool/JT scumteam on the last day if we'd managed to lynch Jesse.

But this goes back to the point about nightless games being town-sided. But then Equinox seems like a very good player too. I assume he was just having an off game.

F16, it was just that SAD + Tammy + Faraday all had connections from their other mafia site that allowed each other to know reliably what the other is like. Any uncertainty about Faraday was counteracted by Reg + Empire essentially having that same type of reliability.

It was incredibly hard to edge ourselves into that Town spot while also getting the 3 mislynches we needed especially when you throw in other good players like Thor.

I said this somewhere I forget, but for the sake of the game, I am goin to have to think twice about entering when I see those names all together again. :p

Yeah, thors near dismissal of the way you answered my questions, and it not making him read you more scummy, really had me thinking you guys were partners. (I was still nursing some secret paranoia of a deadpool/Thor team from the way that Arthur was like Thor so town/he might be scum thing). So I was like lynch Thor that will be win-win.

This game was a lot of fun and I'm so glad we won it in the end. My head was going to explode if we lost after having gotten it right with sixty right away.
