Hello everyone! Jediknight at your service! I would hate to see Apples to Apples never make it to the forums. So I shall delightfully step in and take on the responsibility that comes with modding such things. Here's my rules (stolen of course completely bastidized...no regrets!) My additions are in.

Rules:
A1: Have fun with this. If you feel like arguing for your word then so be it. I reserve the right to argue for any word that I feel would be kinda funny. For instance... I submitted MeMe for (hey give me a break it was between pooky and meme...so I went with the sure thing!) I could come in thread after the words are posted and say "I really think that you should pick MeMe....those eyes...how could you not see the arms of God in those things." You can also argue for those that are not your own if you are so inclined. Or argue against them...as long as you remain NICE.

1. Send the mod (me) a list of 20 nouns (example: PBuG, markers, Switzerland) and 3 adjectives (example: Excruciating, Amazing, Chartreuse, Obvious).

2. I will randomly distribute 5 nouns to each player. I will randomly choose a person, who will be reffered to as the host, to start us off, and they will choose between three adjectives to be played.

3. Each player, except the host, will send one noun in their hand to me. I will post the nouns.

4. The host will choose a noun that represents the adjective best. The person with the chosen noun gets the adjective.

5. Each player, except the host , gets another noun (if possible).

6. If nouns run out, they will be reshuffled.

This will go on until all 20 adjectives have been used , and the person with the most adjectives wins. In case of a tie, I will post an adjective, the two players will send me a noun that fits, and the players who didn't tie will vote on which is better.

Example:
outofHershallibe is the host. I give him the adjectives bewildering, amazing, and loving. He chooses the adjective bewildering.

Rolandoftheoff-white sends me the noun "Gunslingers".
PokyTheMagicalCactus sends me the noun "Cacti".
Save The Wyverns sends me the noun "Wyverns".
HotBot sends me the noun "Robots".
EarthCutter sends me the noun "Earth".
BlueSolid sends me the noun "Solids".
sithsoldier sends me the noun "Yoda".
Captain Disappointing sends me the noun "Captains".
rajrsomething sends me the noun "Really confusing usernames".

I post the nouns. outofhershallibe chooses "Robots". HotBot wins the adjective bewildering.

I want three adjectives...not two as was previously axed for...three is my favorite number and that's just the way I roll...LMAO...

And with a last minute flurry of adjectives and nouns, the game is filled and properly (in my mind) dedicated!!! Words are out... Here's my deadline...I might have forgot something important so bare with me if I did!

(All based on 9pm CST)

Wednesdays- HOST gives me adjective choice (and it is posted)
Fridays- PLAYERS last chance to send me Noun (arguments commence once the words are posted)
Mondays- Arguments Close (and adjectives go to the next HOST)
Tuesdays- HOST sends in choice for winner and winner is posted (nouns go out to the losers)

That won't work. In the actual game, everybody but the host gets a new noun, even the person who won the round.

That's the way that we play it here. The winner is the person that gets five adjectives before anyone else. And has zero nouns left. If it means that they only got one noun in their hand and four adjectives then they have to make due. That's why it becomes so important to be able to argue for (or against) your own so that others choose or don't choose it. That's where the strategy comes in. Does that make sense? It works for us and this is my game now (maniacal laughter)...subject to my rules. LOL I am the master of adaptations....we also play a version where you have to pick the word that is least like the adjective given.

STD, MOS, and the good Commodore have yet to pick up their prods. I'll give till tomorrow as I know that the weekends is a little spotty. Then it be replacementville peeps!

I have heard from everyone except for STD. I am at work right now but I would like to distribute the words this evening. I will also be setting up a calendar of submissions at that time.

I want this to be fun and I want participation. But I also want it to move along and not get bogged down.

STD...I wanna catch you...so I'm taking off my protection. LOL

STD was inactive in HBM for about 2 weeks. Might as well replace him.

Pookythemagicalbear will be the first HOST. He has been sent the three adjectives to choose from and will get it to me by Wednesday 9pm and by posted BY ME. Nouns will then be submitted TO ME by Thursday 9pm and posted BY ME. You will have until Monday 9pm to argue (or not argue) your case. The HOST will send me their choice for winner by Tuesday night at 9pm. I will announce the winner and send the new adjectives for the losers. The process will then start over. I am going to try and keep a pretty straight timeline (for my sanity!!!)

Yep, I'm not making this up. So sportsfans and apples to applers....you have until to get me your noun for cuddly. Once I have them all then I will post and the arguing can commence. Early submission means more yummy "discussion" time!!!

So it's very possible that this could be the biggest slam dunk in Apples to Apples history. But remember that it is Pooky that must make the decision. So let the discussion commence... Be creative and Bon Chance!!! The adjective is Cuddly and these are the choices!
