Star Wars Quote Mafia- Game over

Notable Star Wars Quote Mafia

Someone (No, not that someone) thought it would be a good idea to apply all these new advances in technology to make a database of some of the great (And not-so-great) Star Wars quotes. Which would be fine, except that same someone also thought it would be a good idea to give the entries for the quotes themselves a complex AI, and a system of rejecting bad quotes from the database by majority vote... by the quotes themselves. It never really made any sense. Once a virus or two got into the system, the result was predictable- quotes started disappearing from the database, and now the quotes need to quarantine the bad quotes before they continue their bad... or something.

Status: The game is over.

One experimental rule, which I'm just trying now because this is the first game I've run since I thought of it: (I reserve the right to change this if it doesn't work well. If you don't like it just by looking at it, send me a PM and if there's enough dissent I'll drop it)

I don't like twilight posting, but I understand that miscounts happen. If you're casting a vote that would, as far as you know, take the voted player to the lynch threshold or higher, bold
Finishing vote: IS
rather than just vote. After that, nobody should post game-related stuff until I get on to confirm. (And I'll check the thread often enough to notice relatively soon, unless I'm away/asleep.) A vote that would take someone to the lynch threshold or higher but isn't specified as finishing will not be counted. I will forgive mistakes regarding FV-ing too early, but if it gets abused I will not be happy.

Other than that, Standard rules apply, with the following exceptions/extensions:

This is what a townie PM might look like if I were drawing from a different series of movies whose first word is "Star":
"Remember..." (Spock, Episode III)

You are a townie, with no special powers.

You win when the bad quotes are out of the database. Please confirm by PM.
Quoting your quote doesn't count as modquoting, since it's technically your rolename. However, know that more often than not I'm going by my own memory of the movies instead of any online source as far as the exact wording goes.

Notify me (Don't just post in the vacation thread, post here or pm me) if you're going to be unavailable for more than 72 hours. Commitment to X other people, blah blah blah. Twice a week, (Probably Tuesday/Wednesday and sometime on the weekend) I'll do an activity check. If you haven't posted since the last check, you'll get prodded; if you don't let me know you still exist by the next check, you'll get replaced.

Private messaging is the preferred method of communication with the moderator for night choices, questions, and the like. If it appears there's a problem, pm me. There may not be.

Players whose choices I do not receive by the end of the night will be considered to take no action, unless they must perform an action, in which case the target will be chosen at random.

One may vote: no lynch, and a majority of such votes will end the day without lynching.

When a day deadline is reached, the person with the most votes is lynched if they have at least half of the required votes. If there are multiple people with the same number of votes at a deadline, the one who reached that number first is lynched. If no one has half the majority, no one is lynched.

I love it when players keep me in the loop regarding their Night discussion. (When allowed by roles, of course) Please CC me on PMs (The easiest way to do this in most browsers is to hit back to go back to the PM form and change the name to me) and e-mails, send me IM logs, link me to private forums, whatever.

Modkilling during the day takes the place of a lynch unless I feel the modkillee would gain an advantage by doing so.

If four periods (nights or days) pass with no deaths whatsoever, the appropriate game will be declared a tie among all sides with one or more surviving players unless there is some reason for me to do otherwise.

If I change any of these rules (Or the standard rules) at any time, I'll announce it. Anything rules-related I say after making this post, publicly or privately, takes precedence over this post.

Night 1

The database spins up for the day... to find that all records pertaining to Yosarian2 have been deleted. The quotes don't have access to details, but apparently it was something about an electrical failure.

Also, ibaesha seems to have additional access; today, her vote will count double.

Yosarian2 ("I love you", mason) - deleted Night 1

It is now Day, 19 voters and 20 votes means 11 to lynch.

I was all ready to make some pithy star-wars quote instead of just saying "bah", but then I realized that in this game that might actually count as content. :(

So,

Bah!

random vote ibaeshan
, for not being able to have the mod spell her name correctly in the opening post. (These are not the ibaesha you are looking for.)

As SO mentions the quote associated to the other mason is fairly obvious.

Does anybody want to admit to having a quote from one of the prequels? That seems like a potential source of scum quotes-we all know that Jar-Jar Binks is evil and the dialogue from episodes 1-3 is horrid.

Too confusing to have both Thoth and Thok in the same game. Let's lynch one of them.

1. Thok
2. Thoth

Original Roll String: 1d2
1 2-Sided Dice: (2) = 2

That's interesting... he obviously wasn't voting for me already, his first post... I suspect there's a post restriction here.

Dranko20: How can you be sure?

Also, why does Ibaesha get two votes today? Does her "additional access" have something to do with her role power, or is it just a function of this screwed up system, might happen to anybody regardless of role?

I'd guess someone else has a power that sends that ability. They target a different player each night.
