As far as I can tell, I was some kind of Judas. (Appropriate for this theme, ne?) I started off pro-town, and was as suprised as anyone else when my death-scene came up with the anti-town text color.

Yes, but he had the information on the cult that the rest of the town lacked.

In my opinion, town should not have believed LML, either when he said he had turned pro-town, or that there were only two cultists remaining. Because LML knew this to be the case, lynching one of the two killers was the correct tactic.

I'm not talking about winning conditions, I'm talking about acting based upon available knowledge.

I should add, CA, that you did play well - I just think the town's play on that one day was terrible.

I think that the town was
very
lucky that LML was trustworthy. Like I said, lynching me was correct - but lynching me with the information and implications we had at the time should not have been done - at least until I had some time to argue the information that was there.

LML could have revealed me as the cultist in hopes that I would get killed and fail in my recruit; I don't know if VitaminR was unsure who the cultist was or what, maybe he would've killed LML anyway, but maybe not.

He also could have sold me out and gotten me lynched, while pointing out Mackay as one scum and shooting for some variation of a Prisoner's Dilemma, but that would've been risky.

I really need to be working. Stop distracting me. :)

I'll post a more complete post-game commentary at some point, but if I post again before tomorrow afternoon, yell at me.

So CA not only got protown Pooky lynched but also threw away the town win to cuddle with the SK?!!

Sigh... CA might become official enemy numero uno for this.

I enjoy all the smack talk on Fritzler in the chat log. Also:
[LML]: can we agree that CA is 95% scum?
GL mith: yes
Ha ha.
[LML]: [Mod quote removed. Paraphrase: LML would turn up black.]
GL mith: black is just a really dark purple anyway

PS... my favorite part of our logs...

[LML]: PS: Can we ream out Cad and Fritzler after the game?
GL mith: please
[LML]: thank you.
[LML]: Cad for creating this mess, Fritz for being way too incompetent day 1-4
GL mith: what would you have done if he hadn't been so incompetent?
[LML]: Lost.
[LML]: Gracefully.
GL mith: heh

I was convinced Amelia was the cultist. I thought the argument I used about LML's comment actually applied and that he made it to recruit you and foil a potential counterclaim. Also, if Fritz tried to use his role investigatively, Amelia is a logical choice.

I considered night-killing Amelia because of that (with you being recruited as I presumed I would lose anyway so my only chance was to stop the recruitment), but decided in the end that the recruitment probably wouldn't be stopped and that my best shot was hoping that I was wrong and counter-claiming.

I was horrible completely missing two/ three days of play there in the end--- no wonder everyone was so suspicious, but I do believe you've topped the Bad Idea mafia record for shortest day. I don't think I ever fully got a handle on everything anyway though I read and took notes like mad before I ever posted... I couldn't really figure out if I was some kind of scape goat, and that was just the beginning.
When I hear any man talk of an unalterable law, the only effect it produces upon me is to convince me that he is an unalterable fool.
