...keep in mind that some of these "posting restrictions" have likely been faked. At least, that's my guess at the moment.

In fact, I've got my first suspected restriction-faker.
Unvote, Vote: Twomz

It's "Communist Manifesto," not "Communist Manafesto." If you're going to fake a posting restriction, at least spell it right.

That is quite possible. It is also possible that I misinterpreted things that people just said for the fun of it as actual posting restrictions.

Mines a posting restriction. I also don't like twomz having miss spelled his quote.

I thought i would be mod killed if i didn't post something vaguely pro Republic of Chinaian... I'm thinking most of the "posting restrictions" have been just a play along, or based on something the mod said in one of his first posts... i'm not going to take them all that seriously right now.

Battle the five Black Elements! Ooh, battles. I'm vaguely suspicious of twomz, acting like he had a restriction...kind of makes me wonder, but not enough for a vote.

Or perhaps you as mafia thought all town had posting restriction and after shamrock said otherwise you felt ok enough to say you just didnt want to get mod killed.

I was restricted to a particular quote for my first post, as it appears Vismaior also was. (big hint was mod-groveling required) How many of the rest of you were actually required your quote for the first post?

Amelia, thats something some people seem to want to hide right now, in case there is a pattern behind the quotes.

Also, in the first post it says "The People of China vs. The Maoists"

I'm sure we can all guess who the scum are.

It is a possibility that all the ones with the same restrictions are in the same group (Mafia, Town, whatever), but I think it is more probable that it's made this way to get us confused.

As I said before, people copy-paste things, especially if they're long.

Also:
Twomz wrote:I wonder if we get modkilled for posting anticommunist or antimaoist thoughts...
Sounds like a weird excuse.

This seems like the kind of thing that will unfold as the game progresses, and more roles are known. For now, however, I think we should not worry about it.

Although Twomz' spelling error on a quote is interesting, I don't think it's much of an issue. As I said above, I'm basically ignoring anything relating to these posting restrictions.

I really doubt the mod would hand us the scum on a silver platter like that; it's possible the restrictions mean something, but if so, I suspect it might give the scum as much or more information as the town. (shrug)

I'm going to
unvote, vote Twomz
-not because he didn't have a posting restriction, but because he felt like he needed to appear to have a posting restriction; he could be scum trying to hide his real identity. I'll
FOS thedocsalive
for defending Twomz.

I was required to post a certain sentence in my initial post.

Hm. I had a theory about the posting restriction but it's gone now. Oh well.

Twomz slipup does seem wierd, but after that sentence he put Heil Hitler, which is obviously not a quote.

Hm. I think I'll vote: Twomz. There was no reason to "feel" like you had a post restriction. Either you do or don't. If you were unsure then reading the instructions and your role pm again would be good.

Or even better: Ask your mod.

I did say that the restrictions could mean groups, but I also said that it is more probable that it doesn't. Some kind of a mod's WIFOM. You know, for the fun of it.

Can we get a
vote count
?

"Criticize the ideology of the bourgeoisie!"

It looks like all of our quotes are unique from each other, but we can draw lines that may connect some of them.

Sorry for the late first post, forgot about the game :)

Here's my theory on the game. We have Maoist and we have the people of China, however, It would be all too easy if everyone with a quote that's pro-Mao or pro-people of china is scum.

My guess is, there are some within roles within us that have taken the Mao way to a whole new level... like a cult, if you will. I'm thinking that's the "history" behind who's our scum.

Perhaps we should start analyzing the quotes and develop "groups"?

On the otherhand, the Mod could just be messing with us, and our quotes have no real purpose but to cause confusion and add flavor. There's also the possibility that people have faked their quotes to match others.

Shamrock- mlaker doesn't seem to be on your list. And I think it's helpful if you keep track of the master list of quotes, it's easier if one person organizes the information.

So with that, our List of lurkers narrows down to:

Me has two restrictions, meh.
One includes the first line of my first post.

Twomz made an error by coming with his restriction.
Whether he was careless or faked the restriction, leaves me in doubt.
Twomz wrote:I thought

However, his explanation doesn't sound very honestly.
It was clearly stated that you had to include the sentence in your first post.

Vote: Twomz
Nobody talks about it.
Only the courage needed to write it in dark words,
but fear for those who will put it on a piece of paper.
Yet, it's still unwritten.

? Bandwagon much? :p.

Anyways i'll say it again. *I don't have a posting restriction*. I wasn't trying to confuse anyone. I just assumed since everyone else was doing it, that they were doing it because of flavor, or there was something i missed in the first post. After reading it again i see there is nothing there about posting procommunist quotes. I'm sorry that tried to role play in a mafia game... it'll probably happen again.

And about misspelling communist Manefesto... i'm not going to go look up how to spell it, i'm gonna assume y'all know what i'm talking about. Geez, stop being such grammar Nazi's... It'll all end in tears (looks at CF from WDMII).

Assumptions are very dangerous. As it happens, more and more people are assuming you're mafia.
Another lame excuse. I don't want to vote, but as it goes you're the most scummy...

How many mafias are they? We're 28, so I guess 7 or 8 could be reasonable. What do you think?

Some immediately took up the sticks and applied the tortures, they were the school bullies.

Greatly emboldened by the instigators, the other students also cried "Beat them!" and jumped on the teachers, swinging their fists and kicking. The stragglers were forced to back them up with loud shouts and clenched fists.

Once the first step was taken, all were bound to follow.

They did pause briefly for a vote count, then resumed the beating with increased savagery.

Student Hop Shui dutifully calligraphed the following on a big character poster:

I've nothing else to add right now, except that I'm not completely sold on Twomz's explanation yet. I'll leave my vote on until something else substantial happens. Until then, I'm pretty happy with where it is.
