My quote was indeed a posting restriction.
However, I don't think we can garner anything from these restrictions, as the flavor of the game is clearly that we're all basically chilling in school. In Maoist China, I'd assume that school children would be required to be obedient to Mao Zedong. Therefore, since it's Day, we're all basically stating that we love Mao even if some of us don't. Right? The Maoists are mafia in this game, are they not?

We certainly can garner information from these quotations. I, however, do not beliebe we should put much stalk in what we learn from these quotations. Almost without a doubt this is just a means to get us to not random vote. Why has Twomz been singled out? Yosarian did the messy-mess with his 'quote' as well.

I don't have much to add right now except that Yosarian2 and Twomz seem the most suspicious to me right now. Yosarian2 seems too worried that his quote might mean something; if the quotes do mean something and he is protown he would have nothing to worry about. Also, the fact that Twomz felt he needed to fake a posting restriction seems weird to me as it was clearly stated in the role PM that their was one and if he did not have he should not have worried about it. I'm going to wait to vote however as it doesn't seem enough to vote for either of them yet.

For the record, I don't like the Post Restriction listing/analysis either. A comprehensive list makes things easier for mafiates to look at and analyze. Mafiates analyzing quotes might lead to patterns and/or role information. Mafiates having role information is a bad thing.

I was very clear why I didn't want to share my quote. Why would anyone give away something that might hint at their role on day 1 if they didn't have to? You're all just jelous you didn't think of my "I can say my quote, and everyone else's quote too" loophole.

Anyway, Pug's whole "Yosarian looks scummy, and twomz looks scummy too...I'm not going to vote for either of them yet, but I've got an eye on them both" just looks scummy to me. It just looks like he's trying to quietly support a bandwagon on either me or twomz, and get himself into a position where he could jump on either one, without actually committing himself to anything. That kind of "he looks scummy, but I'm not going to vote yet..." hestiation on day 1 just looks suspicious to me.

Faking a post restriction? I was basically bandwagoning a post restriction, not faking one... and bandwagoning is concidered ok right? So my actions are concidered alright, right? (go go magic logic!)

....no, bandwagoning is not considered okay. Not in any circumstances, at least. It's pretty apparent that you faked/posted the "restriction" to fit in with everyone else. What your motives were for doing so are unclear, but I don't trust your claim at all right now. Like I said before, my vote stands.

Thanks for counting my vote HS.

I'm not sure where I stand on this entire quote analysis thing. On one hand they could potentially help the mafia figure out abilities and such, but I really doubt it. On the other hand any information to give to the mafia is bad...

I assumed my post restriction was obvious, guess no one picked up on it or something (I'm assuming at least one mafia saw it, if there's any relevance at all). It's the first line of my first post I think.

EDBWODP: My on the one hand... other hand thing was exactly the same.

On the other hand giving information to the town is good, and might be able to potentially clear townies later on.

My personal take on the post restrictions is that it's worth keeping an eye on for future reference. After we have a few dead people, who are confirmed townies/scum, THEN it may be appropriate to compare their post restrictions to others and try to draw connections to confirm townies/find scum. At the moment, however, I don't think we can draw much from the quotes.

As for Twomz, I think the bandwagon on him is typical of day ones. There's some reasoning, but if there was any more information in the game, it probably wouldn't exist. I think it's pretty weak, and I won't vote for Twomz on those grounds.

I'm curious about Fritzler posting in Spanish, and what in the world that has to do with the Cultural Revolution.

I'll
Unvote: mystery meat of doom
because it was random in the first place. And, I think his "on the other hand" could be applied later in the game.

Yosarian2, why the vote on Pug89? We know there are more than two mafia in this game (it would be bizarre if there were only two), so I don't see what's wrong with Pug89 holding multiple suspicions.

"I'm the pro-town cop, with the same restriction as the pro-town doc. I tell it to you all, because I'm pro-town and I have nothing to worry about". Both get killed in the next two nights.

Twomz is digging himself into a hole. A big hole. So big, it stops being scummy and starts being plain stupid. Every time we kill some one that acts so weird we find out he's a cop/doc.

And so does Glork, apparently.

But I don't understand why we should totally neglect something which COULD help us confirm townies/link scum together.

I think the fact that some people have restrictions while others don't says something. Furthermore, it's possible that different phrases can correlate different roles. But as I said before, that's not something we can analyze properly now. But we can't just forget the idea altogether.

I think that ignoring any info at all is a bad idea, so I don't think this should be ignored. I just don't think we have enough evidence yet to start analyzing them.
