Mlaker stalked down the street, he seems well suited to it, stalking that is, he glided from shadow to shadow, looking like a....... shadow as it were.
abruptly he glided into something rather pointy and stuff
"here now, who dares acost Aragorn, Son of Arathorn, Heir of Isild......."
~five minutes later~
"you misstold those titles there old bean" commented the unseen figure
"did not, i know my heritage, what else did i have to do when i wasn't ogling the Elvish chicks in rivendell?"
"im telling you, theres something missing"
"Listen, i know all my two hundred and eighty-three titles off by heart, i think I would know"
"you forgot to add "late" to them all"
"what? im never late, i always arrive just in the nick of time, hey whats that sticking out of me? a sword! oh my isnt this exci."
"yes, terribly exci, couldnt have been more exci.ed myself"
Mlaker son of Arathorn slumps to the ground, in the shadows naturally, he even managed to fall over dead with, er deadly grace.
In another circle of town, Dragon Pheonix Peered through the dark, seeking his quarry, he sights his target, and gives him a jolly good looking at. His deed done, he turns heads back the wa he came,
"not surprised, suspected it off
him
anyway.
OOOOO, whats this? a big pillar floating in the air! i say, gimli will LOVE this, bloody good stone work he'd say"
~thunk~
Fishbulb stumbbles upon the biggest pizza hes ever seen, looking about, he bends to pick it up, he straightens up feeling distintly odd, something was wrong.... oh yes, his head is on the ground! the rest of his body duely follows.

As Day breaks the town find a Pizza, topped with and evish bow, and a strange cloak, a headless haradman and the late, great (a matter of opinoin) Aragorn, son of Arathorn, heir of Isil.
"oi! dont start psouting that crap, thats probably what got 'im killed!"
oh yes, sorry, With 19 still living, its
10 to lynch

the dead:
Dragon Pheonix - Legolas Greenleaf - Pancaked
Fishbulb - of the the feared Haradrim - Beheaded
Mlaker - Aragorn, son of Arathorn - Somehow got a sword stuck in him (well he was bafled anyway :))

Ummm so do we find out the abilities of these dead so that we know what we have lost. Cause Legolas and Aragorn seem like theyd have good abilities of some kind or another. Ack damn evil killing parties. And what are the Haradrim?

Hmmm... Interesting... So much detail in the death scenes, but I do wish there was a little more detail as to what the now dead roles were able to do (it would just be nice to know what were really missing)

Way to early to vote yet. I'll wait and see what everyone else has to say!

Well, the Haradrim are allied with Sauron, so I would assume that they are evil, especially with the whole 'feared' thing. That said, someone actually killed DP on the first night? Why would anyone even think about trying that with how likely he is to be protected? Also, it might just be who taught me, but killing the most experienced players on the first night was strongly looked down upon. *breathes deeply* Okay that's out of my system. Actually, not a bad night, 1 scum dead at least.

Oh and don't hold your breath for Macros to reveal the role descriptions. ^_^

Well, at least now we have (at least in my opinion (yes I have read the books)) 1 scum down.

The non-revealing of roles brings up bad memories, but I have never played in a macros game before, so I shall suppress them and hope for the best. Good luck, everyone!

Well, from the death scenes, I'm assuming Legolas was a cop. Aragorn could have been damned near anything, but based on the books possibly a doc.

Still assuming from the death scenes, the Haradrim are probably the pointy-runners-through-of people, since they wouldn't behead their own. Then we've got a floater-of-stones (Saruman? Sauron?) and a beheader (Nazgul?). Or not.

Anybody know anything worth knowing?
It's better to be lucky than skilled, surely. However, it's a lot easier to be skilled twice than lucky twice.

The Haradrim are indeed evil. I didn't even recognize the name myself (:(), but I checked the Encyclopedia of Arda. It's a great resource, but you can really get distracted by it. I just spent twenty minutes browsing through entries when I had intended to just check on the Haradrim!

Legolas does seem to have been some sort of cop, based on the description of what he was doing in the death scene. Who knows what Aragorn was.

And since somebody has to start it....

OK, then I guess we're agreed that we've got one evil guy down!

Since it was said that Aragorn was well suited to stalking in the shadows, I'm inclined to believe he might've been something like a vigilante.

And since I believe that nobody

I am still dissapointed at mods everywhere for (seemingly at least, the point bout the shadows was very good) not making Aragorn a doc! I have never seen him be a doc! There is perfectly good storyline explanation for him being a doc! why not make him a doc!

In other regards, I agree that Aragorn was more than likely a vig and that Legolas was more than likely an inspector.

ya, those roles seem pretty accurat, but anyways, for the point of my post...
slightly random vote: gnome it all
because it seemed to me like he was inferreing that his vote was not random with absolutely 0 evidence to back it up...

and if gnome it all's vote really was a random vote, but his post was worded wrong, then unvote him for me, unless that would be too much trouble, and i'll random vote later so gnome dosent have to votes (wow, that made no sense, did it?)

A vig would probably not have killed on night one, so even though a scum died last night, he was probably slain by a scum from another faction.
So that's still three evil kills a night.

Anyway -

*shrug* Sides, yer games are fun (when I'm not dying by a blunt fork that is) O_o

Anyhows, uhm, just for clarification ben, you are asking for the mod to unvote your vote for gia (gnome-it-all, geez what's wrong with a nice six or seven letter screen-name, youngsters these days *gets out cane*) if gia's vote is random? If that is the case, uhm, yeah, mods don't do that, it gives away in-game knowledge, just an fyi if that is the case.

Well,
Most of what has to be said has been said.

I'd concur with Leo that it is very unlikely for a vig to kill on N1. So, The Haradrim must have been taken out by a rival mafia faction.
So we can assume there are atleast two factions.

The Haradrim have been mentioned as allies of Mordor against Gondor.
No ruler has been mentioned from Harad has there? So would they have Sauron as the GF too? After all, Sauron has to be in this game. And the rival faction would logically be the Ring Wraiths with their swords (beheading?).

As for the pillar of stone, only the Tower of Isengard (Saruman's pad) springs to mind but that is no where near Minas Tirith and neither could it be too useful as a weapon. :P
I wonder as to the title of this game. Is Minas Tirith the setting and should we focus on happenings around that part of the book for the most part? Or did Mac just get tired of calling it LOTR mafia...
Other creatures strong enough to be hurling stones about would be orcs and/or trolls. And if it was actually hovering rather than being thrown, then the magic would suggest Saruman...

Those who were killed...
Legolas was mentioned as peering into the dark and seeking quarry.
With his elvish vision, definitely indicates some sort of cop to me.

And Aragorn, well, he was
stalking
someone. That would make him either another snoop/cop or the classic Stalker role which I've seen mentioned on the Princeton Mafia site...he may either follow or kill someone every night. A mixed cop/vig. Quite powerful.

Enough rambling.

As I said, most of what had to be said has been said.

Now,
I'll random

Nope, I can confirm it is IN the city of Minas Tirith, although there are things that are done outside.
