OK, just to let you know I read the other game and it's not the slightest help. Somehow I thought from Patrick's earlier post about strategy, that there'd be discussion about the particular format of this game, but there's nothing like that and it's not an interesting read at all.

was able to suggest any kind of strategy at all, it would at least give us something to talk about. I think maybe this setup was designed to be strategy proof, unfortunately. And anyone who brings up a poor strategy is at risk of being attacked for it.

Hmm, this talk of strategy is a bit strange. Certain games do need a strategy discussion, this is just simple pie c9 though. The only strategy I can think of I've already put out there, and though it's perfectly sound, we can't exactly put into action unless we're in a very specific situation. 'Lynch the mafia roleblocker' isn't really a strategy since the entire point is to lynch scum anyway.

Hmm, this talk of strategy is a bit strange. Certain games do need a strategy discussion, this is just simple pie c9 though.

I'm not entirely sure of my facts here, but I thought I read how the format originally used for newbie games got changed to the format used now, because the players eventually found a way to break it. Which implies that even in a very small game it could be useful to look at strategies.

Has this particular format with the roleblocker been used frequently in the past then? I had somehow got the impression there was just that other game I looked at, Open 1, and then this one.

Yeah, pretty much old newbie games were like this but without the mafia having the roleblocking ability. This was clearly in the towns favour. The addition of the roleblocker completely knocks out any plan with the cop claiming day 1.

I was thinking about ways to get discussion and came up with couple of ideas:
1) Bandwagon
2) Me starting to act completely off the wall
There were problems I noticed with both possibilities
1) We can have max 3 person bandwagon without actually lynching someone so it just doesn't work.
2) Coincidering who we have in this game I would just die without too much discussion at all so that just doesn't work either.

Only ways I've been able to make very discussionfull and contentful games of 7 player setup have been highly disagreed by experienced players and me pointed to be idiot for using that kinda ways.

As bandwagoning is always a great way to make discussion I find Nightfall vote very tempting as it's the biggest wagon along with mine and self voting even though unpurposely is one of the things I've been getting helload of feedback about and I can't actually do this coz of rule 2. So that leaves me with voting Nightfall but that would put her to L-1 and is that really good after having no contentful discussion?

Seriously nobody wishes to claim roleblocker? Would make things so much easier as we could just follow Patricks THE plan.
