I just picked the first person I saw who hadn't posted. Since Raffles is on vacation, I'll unvote.

As to the first question about how many times has the SK posted? However many times you've posted in this thread.

First, MGM you said that your "hunch on d3sisted was correct." You did not mention the SK in your replies to my questions (and I didn't ask about the SK, either.)

Second, Stewie, I completely disagree with this:

The only possible answer is that the chose randomly/arbitrarily, since he has no other information to base his vote on (or if he does, he's not gonna tell you). Can you really think of any other method of picking who to vote between two people who haven't posted yet?

There is always the possibility that he is mafia and one of them could be his partner, so no, that is not the only possible answer.

I didn't expect any other answer from DeepSouth. Stewie, on the other hand, who the question didn't concern, shouldn't automatically have assumed an innocent motive (how is he to know if the motive is innocent or not).

There's no problem with answering someone else's questions when there's only one likely answer they'd give (regardless of what their intentions are).

Another example, if I ask you to claim, it would be perfectly all right for someone else to point out you'd claim townie. There's no other claim, unless the SK can convince us he wants to help kill the mafia, but I for one would lynch him on the spot if it doesn't make us lose instantly.

I think it's silly to think that SK has decided to lurk the entire game (like twito) or not posted before the kill was announced. It leads to heck of metagaming that goes nowhere and ends in the great lakes of wine-in-front-of-me. (Actually a lake-full of wine would kick ass, but anyhow)

I missed post 46 because it was a near simulpost. Yes, a grudge from a previous game would be a valid reason.

We should start focussing. If we don't have a lynch target by the deadline, we're losing the town headstart the dead scum got us.

Yet we don't necessarily have to lynch by that particular deadline. We just need to make sure that our lynches occur in incrimants of seven days while the SK is alive (such that maybe, if we don't have a lead, or a suspect, let him have his second kill, and lynch 7 days after that. Speeding up a lynch for the sake of lynching before the SK strikes might hurt unless we have something to go on, which right now, we don't).

If we're going into whether the SK posted before the kill or not, the following people posted pre-kill (in order of first post):

That's 7 out of 12. Or rather 6 out of 11, as we know that D3sisted was not the SK. Statistically speaking, it it more likely that the SK posted before the hit, as 6 of us had posted as opposed to 5.

On the possibility of the SK just realizing that the game has started, there is a two day lag between Pooky starting the thread and announcing that we can start killing each other. This strikes me as possibly significant, maybe as a window of confirmation oppurtunity. But I know that my pm didn't ask for a confirmation, so I'm going to assume the others didn't either. So I think I'll stop metagaming now.

not sure what is sigificant about whether the SK posted before or after the SK post by the Mod. We do not know how long the request from the SK to the mod set in the Mod's box. So actually, that "list" could be cut in half, we have no way of telling.

That is perfectly true. One thing is certain though, the SK request was sent *after* Aug 11 8:01 am. There is about a one day window of oppurtunity there.

I'd like a real answer to the question. You said the SK already posted, and when asked why you responded with a joke. What leads you to believe that the SK posted before the kill? This question actually goes to anyone who actually said that, because I can't see how we can narrow down the field either way (ie: we can't say that the SK didn't post before the kill either).
