woaw! It works!
---------------------
Hi everyone! No one is more sorry than I that I didn't know I was in this game until very recently. I'm glad you didn't vote me off, now I can (soon) play some mafia with ya!

When I found out I was in this game I tried to post, but I couldn't, I just got redirected to the forum main page. This is really strange, I used a link "http://blablbalba" to get here, and when I did, I could do nothing. When I click my way to this thread the regular way, it works just fine!

So, all I need now is a role description! MOD- can I have one please?

Jeep figured out why it didn't work.
the link I had didn't have the "www" in it. In FF, that will cause it to not know your sessionid. So, problem solved now. But still, I can't play until I hear from the mod and get my role.

I would say that the serial killer sent in the kill on reply to the role PM. That would seem the most natural, since it didn't look like he held back to see who is more likely to be mafia/townie and such. In which case, the fact that d3sisted had died was a random kill.

well yeah and it would make sense that the SK kill was random cause they don't care, they have to kill everyone to win.
Rooting out scum is a lot harder with such a strict death deadline!

If it was in the first reply to the Mod, the first reply still would have had to have taken place after the Mod's second post. Which still doesnt say anything.

Just out of curiousity, to try to get conversation going, who do you guys think is a bigger thread, the mafia or the SK?

By thread, I'm guessing you mean threat...

Definitely SK. Reducing the amount of kill is definitely for the benefit of the town. But we should just concentrate on finding scum as a whole.

I think the mafia is the bigger threat. They win sooner.
If we get rid of the mafia, we have more time to find the serial killer, so I think we should focus on finding mafia, but really - finding any scum is a step forward.

I was assuming HazzelQ was jeep, but now it appears they share the account - or jeep did some testing to figure out why it wasn't working. I'm trying to get people to agree so we can have a lynch before the deadline hits. It's not working very well.

well, ok, I've read it. The first thing I have to say is that it does not matter whether the SK sent in his kill before or after he posted. Can someone explain how that would matter? (or really, don't bother) We have no way of knowing so it's pointless to discuss.

Well, MGM, while reading the thread I got the strong feeling that you are the SK, so I guess I can help you get the votes coming.
vote:MGM

I have no evidence for what I am saying, but I think that MGM might have voted for d3sisted, and then killed him, as a cover up (the voting part) for not being suspected of that role. As I said it's just an idea, but it's how I think it went down. Afterwards he plays the role of good townie trying to rally the town forces in a strong and joint vote on someone because it is the right thing to do. I just don't buy it this time.

Though,
I also
think it would be bad not to lynch day1, so I am voting for the one I think is most likely to be scum. I think you should all do the same, but I don't think that we have to "get people to agree" to do it. I have not got any scum-tells from any other player yet.

Is it metagaming to point out that HazzelQ is almost certainly not the SK?

Unless you think Jeep was collaberating with her, she has an alibi; she can't have sent the pm, since she didn't even know she was in the game. She could still be mafia, of course.

I would say that is likely, but again there is no solid evidence to rule it out. Jeep was only testing to make the posting work, all the stuff about lack of PMs are said by HazzeIQ herself, which would put a question mark over it's credibility.

But then again, I recieved mine late as well so I'm inclined to believe it...

I find that hard to believe. It's quite unlikely the mod mistyped your name when he sent out roles. When did you receive your role PM?

Yes, it's metagaming, but not necessarily
bad
metagaming.

I'll comment on your vote on MGM since that's where my vote happens to be at the moment. First of all, I really don't like MGM's post about his "hunch" about D3sisted. (See post 37 I think) or his way of playing off the answer to my question about that. I also wonder why MGM thinks the mafia are more of a threat (I can't type sometimes) because, if I understand the rules correctly, they can't kill except through manipulating the town vote. (I asked the question to see if anybody would say that, though, I suppose, they might be harder to find as a group since there are now three of them left, and their win condition at the moment is surviving with 3 townies). I also don't like reasonless unvotes.

But I don't know if I agree with you targeting MGM as the SK or trying to push a vote. As I said before, as this game is nightless and the mafia can't kill of their own volition, our only voting constraint is to minimize SK kills, but we don't necessarily have to lynch once a week. Just make sure that lynching takes place on specific days. Id rather be sure of something than mislynch, especially in this type of set up. If we get enough for a reasonable lynch, good. If not, we shouldn't push it.
