As an Al-Bhed, Rin was already at a disadvantage attempting to integrate into polite society. Even more ambitious was his goal of building Spira’s premier merchant network.

Yet against those odds he was successful at both, having learned to downplay his cultural roots while somehow also managing to forgive Yevonites he met on a daily basis for their own prejudices.

Indeed, if there had been any hope for the Al-Bhed to find a place in society, Rin was living proof of it.

And then one day, it all changed. His shops closed down, his wares removed, and all traces of him vanished. What had happened? Sabotage from Yevon? Retribution from the less moderate members of the Al-Bhed? No one knew.

All the more tragic: following this development, tensions from both sides soared to an all-time high.

When Sin finally returned, the people, for once, endeavored to be ready for it.

Hours before a joint operation between Church, Crusader remnants (few of them that there were), and the Al-Bhed, banding together to combat the newly reborn Sin, a summoner was detained by warrior monks having been caught attempting to sabotage one of the Al-Bhed weapon platforms.

When asked for an explanation, the woman offered little but a derisive sneer, admonishing Yevon for spending all of their efforts concealing corrupt officials, ancient forbidden machina, and active sabotage against the wayward but benign Crusaders (an organization for whom Dona held great respect) that they failed to notice the obvious threat that stood in front of them.

Operation Mi’ihen, back during Braska’s calm, had been a colossal failure, and one that Yevon had endorsed despite knowing this ahead of time, but the ones to pay with their lives had been the Crusaders and Al-Bhed.

Dona laughed as she mocked the warrior monks for thinking the Al-Bhed were going to allow the situation to play out as it had last time.

Many in Spira had reason to celebrate today.

For today marked the day that Sin was finally defeated for good. And with conventional weaponry no less. The Al-Bhed airship Fahrenheit arrived on the scene and fired barrage after barrage of missiles into Sin’s unholy armor. After a somewhat anti-climactic battle, the Sinspawn had been mopped up by ground troops and Sin itself had spiraled out of control, crashing into a nearby cliffside.

Yu Yevon, the entity that resided at the core of Sin, was defended only by its former summoner’s guardian volunteer, who had in essence become Sin herself that day. She embraced the merciful death she was given.

And back in Besaid, Wakka had yet another reason to be thankful, as Lulu’s imprisonment as Sin had lasted a mercifully short amount of time.

The church’s own celebration was cut short as the Al-Bhed turned their weapons quickly on Bevelle, just as Dona had foretold they would. While Bevelle held its own machina, dark secrets embedded under the city and temple, nothing could possibly have been mobilized in time.

Now with the temples in tatters, Bevelle occupied, and Sin no longer a factor, the reshaping of Spira would be up to the Al-Bhed. Would they prove to be the freedom fighters as they’ve claimed, liberating Spira from tyranny? Or was one regime simply being replaced with another?

Find out in
FFX-AU II, Electric Boogaloo
, a game that I am definitely not running.

I'll get this out of the way now: the 'questionable mechanic' was that PV changed to a town tree stump when NKed ONLY (he still lost if lynched). That was it.

I'll get a full list of actions / role pms / etc. up when I get a moment.

Town power role targeting shot themselves in the foot and we were wishing PV stuck to his gut so at least one scum died. Congratulations on the perfect scum win. I still wonder why the mason claim was targeted for a rolecop and why the oaka role was played so obv town in the main thread when it could of been used to give info to neighborhoods. It made me sad to see all of the town power roles not provide any good benefits to town. I think the paranoia of the neighborhood was the most obvious detriment to town and to rationalize lynching out of the neighborhood you had to think there were at least two scum in the neighborhood yet many persecuted it based on the assumption of one scum neighbor. As a reviewer I did not think the neighborhood would be this much of a detriment to town but Bork proved me wrong.

Could mess with jail keep protective role and oaka. Could be useful in mass claim. It also served as a more obvious guilty for the rolecop. Every informational role had someone it was used best on but no hard information. Brother would have investigated a vanilla for example and was thus immune to anything the rolecop could do. It is similar to how your role was vulnerable to far plane cop (or since you claimed auron, vulnerable when tidus flipped). The self redirect gave scum utility if they wanted it while also giving the rolecop an obvious guilty. It was not necessarily intended to be used in the majority of situations.

I thought I might get alignment info but I realized as I was considering who I was going after I wouldn't. I got really paranoid and targeted GIF N2, it was a spur of the moment decision. At the time I basically accepted that my role was next to useless being both even night and a role cop. This was one of the things that added to my disenchantment with the game because my play was just horrendously bad.

A 5 person town neighborhood was really distracting. It's really kind of shame on...me I guess...for wanted to target it so heavily.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think a single power role managed to help us in the slightest one way or another which is unfortunate (Unless I suppose if Tammy protected people). It did not help that we had no momentum for most of the game either.

What was the utility of the farplane cop?

Had we lynched LP D1 I think things would have been a little smoother but still not great. I was distracted by him. I think pushes on snowstorm/empking might have succeeded without the neighborhood being a thing.

I'm pretty embarrassed about everything, from my N2 choice to my exchange with kuribo to my lynchboner on LP.

I could discover whether a player was unsent or not. It wasn't alignment indicative, but I think there was at least one scum player I could have caught in a lie depending on their fake claim.
