I'm trying to decide if this itself would be more likely from scum or town, but can't quite make my mind up there yet. The whole BP-preclaim-ZZZX thing I'm not finding particularly scummy - Why does scum Kise have to make a play that would be assured of garnering suspicion later on down the track? Doubly so given that one scum flip would look pretty bad on the other. I find the BP guess pretty natural, or at least I did when it all went down, as speculation on my own part would have probably led me to a BP guess also. Third point - flipped scum

I'm reading very differently. Boo's activity has always looked open and involved, whereas FF's meta-diving on a slot she already seemingly finds scummy looks to me like busy-work. I also really didn't like the explanation of the hammer yesterday - a blind hammer is never going to be without risk to town, so as town, why hammer before reading up to the current posts? FF for godfather? I could see it.

Face to face? I remember you two in lylo with me and Mina or mollie. The other town voted me, then you two grinned and mislynched me and I was sad. Then Mina or mollie was like "wow singer fooled me, gj girlfriend" and I cried inside.

I will agree that singer can be pointed out when scum and she hates it, but that's what I remember from the Commune visits. I haven't played/seen an online game with either of you individually in a long time so I'm not even sure who's been posting when and where. I think the last time I played with singer was under my alt and she endgamed us as scum. Last I played with you Glork...oh dear. Cali Trilogy 3 perhaps.

I'm just gonna go ahead and speculate that ZZZX is softclaiming princess since time is of the essence. He needs to fight back with something because otherwise I'm not thrilled with his reply. No lynch might be worth it if we can get Dan on the case.

I Just had a thought. Why did the no lynch become an option here regarding ZZZX, but when Chevre's name came up in a later day you were ok with a lynch?

no, I actually skimmed all of the pages in semi-panic mode.

I knew I didn't have a firm grasp on the game, but I did my best to figure out the lay of the game during the time I had, and I specifically asked reck to give me some extra time to catch up when I replaced in. It's a little frustrating from this end, knowing that a few more or different questions on my part, or a little more help catching up on others' part and I could have avoided it.

No, I did think about that. Since if ZZZX is scum, he's not going to be the nightkill, this situation could have been predicted. Lynching him right away not only earns towncred for the person pushing it, it also removes a liability.

That's my take on it, anyway, Kise. I don't think it's the strongest point ever, especially without a ZZZX flip, but I did give it some thought.

Oh I'm glad you said that. 4b wanted to lynch ZZZX the next day, I said to give it more time, and I also said it may be ridiculous to have ZZZX hammer Bro since that might still trigger 2 nights (the role PM for the beloved prince says it occurs on "death", not just lynch).

It wasn't until 2 days later that I said it'd be safer to lynch ZZZX in case he was town and we had 4 scum to deal with.

So I guess really it doesn't change anything, but 4b did mention lynching ZZZX the day after his claim. From there, I remember 4b saying to save ZZZX for last, and that was when I mentioned lynching ZZZX, so we had a role reversal.

I apologise for misreading the timing of when you said it, Kise. I replaced in after these events and I have been checking ISOs rather than rereading the full game. I knew you had said that ZZZX was a safer lynch, but no, I was trusting your memory of your own actions as to timing rather than going back and checking on it. I know several people had said that ZZZX had to be lynched (Triforce springs to mind, actually) and I was wrong to take your word for when you had said it.

In any case, do you think we should lynch ZZZX now? Do you think he's scum?

I've gone through the games I linked and the thing that shines through his town games are a sort of open, innocent cluelessness. And what shines through his scum games are a sort of manipulative gloaty-ness when he's not under pressure. The kind of pressure he was under in the newbie game we both played breaks the scum persona down, though, which is interesting.

There are several markers in this game that fit his scum play better than his town play. The stuff about being a stronger player in the late game fits the deflective way he handles suspicion as scum. regarding missing that jmj died, I feel like he might have intentionally re-enacted something that he did as town here.
