I think he was just a little too over-exuberant with his post. Maybe he was messing around. Right now, I don't think he's scum per se. He is on my "watch" list though.
Ok, is anybody here going to admit to being mafia? I didn't think so. A mafia will claim to be a townie to not get lynched. A cop will claim to be a townie to not get night-killed. So if my math is correct, that means EVERY single one of us is claiming to be a townie. So what's the big deal about what I said?
My point is, the rest of you may not have come out and said "I am a townie", but you are all implicitly saying it just by the nature of the game (unless somebody wants to take this opportunity to admit they're mafia....ok I didn't think so). Claiming a power role is a different story, but claiming as a townie? Shouldn't even be called "claiming" because we are all doing it.
Of course I know what claiming is. Btw, all of us are claiming to be protown. Claiming townie as a cop or doc or something has many disadvantages. I guess I would only claim townie while being a power role if I doc because I would know the doc couldn't protect me because I am he.
Claiming townie also doesn't exactly have much pull. Scum claim townie all the time, therefore discrediting the value of the claim. Besides, if you claim townie while you're the cop and people don't believe you and then you claim cop, you're almost assured of being lynched because you lied and there's a meta called "Lynch all Liars".
I'm taking it as a claim. However i'm not putting much weight into it currently because it seems what he said afterward as an explanation was a pitiful coverup.
Btw, claiming townie is a role, claiming town is a faction.
I wish you would describe which part of my "stupid mistake" you had a problem with, instead of just calling it a "pitiful coverup". You didn't list a single reason for why my logic was flawed. If you'd care to list those reasons, I'd love to hear them
Post 8: "Everybody take note of Boing's reaction to my accusation. When I get killed and am revealed as a townie, remember what he said.... "
So you made a joke, he then countered with a joke and you fly off the deep end and assume you're going to be night killed and then tell us as the town what to do when you end up dead after claiming townie. Where-- what-- dude that's the most bizarre reaction i've ever seen to a joke post. There is no reason for what you said. Instructing the town to remember what you said following a joke post is bad town play. Assuming you're going to be killed for making a joke post is over reacting. There's just so many problems with your post.
Oh, and don't claim it was a joke because that would look very badly like a poor lie. It wasn't a joke, couldn't have been a joke.
Edit by way of post. Because we are forbidden from editing past posts, we must resort to EBWOP to change mistakes and whatnot.
unvote
Let's see what we've got: Boing, Zeppo, and White on an early Cornelius wagon, as well as competentpsycho jumping from killerbob wagon onto lemming wagon.
Not much, but meh.
vote: competentpsycho
As for the early claim thing, I'm not really putting too much emphasis on it, but it's worth noting.

LOL yeah bandwagoning with 2 votes when 7 needed? The killerbob vote was an OMGUS vote and I had voted lemming before and was just going back to him. Seeing as how I haven't really spotted anything scummy, and the only suspicious thing was the Cornelius/Boing wierd thing on pg 1:
Hmm, i'm sorry but i'm getting scummy vibes from Max. I don't know this if this just a playstyle thing or what because i'm feeling the same way in a dif ongoing game.
