There was a widespread feeling of jubilation across New Catania yesterday, as notorious mob boss Salvatore 'The Jaw' Panucci was sentenced to thirty years in prison for racketeering and tax evasion. The happy mood was shortlived, alas, as the Mob decided to remind citizens that they weren't beaten just yet. Overnight, a number of prominent local figures and suspected informants were executed. The killing methods ranged from the gruesome to the... well, even more gruesome. Panicked, citizens have gathered in the middle of town demanding lynchings, determined to show the Mafiosi that there ain't no justice like angry mob justice.

Rules- Borrowed from BM and adapted to my personal preferences.

1.) This game is a day start. Day one will start when everyone has confirmed via PM. Any group which has an ability to communicate at night may also communicate before the first day begins.

2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes must be in the form Vote: Player otherwise they won't be counted. Players do not need to unvote when switching their votes, but it would be appreciated. All votes and unvotes must be in bold. It is also possible to vote no-lynch.

3.) When a player (or abstract concept) reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their role, and the game will move into night. No discussion takes place during the night, except amongst roles who have been given specific permission to do so.

4.) If discussion is lagging or the day is dragging, I may set a deadline. If a majority is not reached by the deadline, No lynch will occur.

5.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role permits it.

6.) Once dead, you stop posting. A bah post is fine though.

7.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

8.) Try to post as often as possible. Treat the game as a committment. If you go inactive, you will be replaced.

9.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time.

10.) Do not make verbally abuse any participants of this game at any point. This is a game, and I will not tolerate childish insults. Any personal attacks will result in punishments-up to and including Modkills.

11.) Do not in any way quote or fakequote your role PM. This is a modkillable offence. Any attempt to ascertain another players' role from the wording of their PM will be dealt with likewise.

You want to see organised crime driven out of the city for good, though you don't really have any particularly original ideas about how to achieve it. Just turn up at the town square every day, and use your vote to help lynch the most suspect-looking characters. Hey, it might work.

This, to me, seems incredibly odd and out of sorts. Almost too polite. It seems forced. Faked. It reminds me of the Mafia Buddying Up Technique.
