That is. My mental thought is as follows.

1) FAQ2 is indeed a protective PR. There has to be some other roleblocker in play. If so, why not just block FAQ and shoot IAI instead?

A) Because DGB is scum.

B) Because scum want to frame DGB.

2) FAQ is a roleblocker. He claims the two shot BP BG once he realizes that IaI tried a PR action. Given IaI was asking who else could stop a kill, this efectively makes AJ look more suspect and him look better as there is direct evidence he stopped a kill.
