This is just a total wild guess, but it's

that they made this thread to introduce themselves and where they came from, and to start becoming acquainted with the MafiaScum community.

The MS wiki was kind of our starting point and the site itself comes up in conversation every once in a while, so a bunch of people felt like making a field trip to say hello and see how the game's played on this side.

It seems kind of silly to go all pissing-match between a group of dorks who post on a mafia forum and a group of dorks who play mafia on a comedy forum, honestly. If you don't want to pay tenbux to come play with us, we really don't care. That said, I'd kinda like to get in on a scumchat game one day and you're all welcome to come hang out with us on IRC.

In all honesty it's something we cooked up like, a day ago on IRC (so it's not exactly serious, to say the least). We drew up a political-spectrum-like chart ranking everyone on a scale of serious to not serious (the X axis) and calm to emotional (the Y axis).

Serious & Emotional = fire (red), Serious & Calm = earth (green), Not Serious & Emotional = air (yellow? the only air player who's come here so far is Ecco and s/he hasn't used a colour yet), Not Serious & Calm = water (blue).

I guess you can be heart if you're directly in the middle like Mills is.

Air is the rarest one since usually people who aren't serious by definition don't really get emotional about it. It's a tricky one to pull off.

Not Serious + Emotional sounds a bit like AniX or Quagmire.
