Dusk Enters, Death FollowsFields once so lush with the beautiful colors of life have since been stained by blood, such that they have hardened and decayed into a monotonous shade of brown, littering the land. Such is the fate of far too many places across the world, and with each passing day, the death toll only worsens. There is no end in sight. Fatigue runs rampant, with a universal desire for the war to end present, and yet, for various different reasons, it continues raging on, and on, and on.

The hellish Gistou is still as rampant as ever. Day, night, no time is safe. The only thing sure is that death is inevitable. Everyone is tired, exhausted, ready to quit, yet most have no choice but to continue. Peace is a pipe dream in the current state of affairs, and so, the heroes of Gistou continue to trudge on, trying to further their own goals until their objective has been met.

This process is difficult. It's so easy to die. It's so easy to kill blindly. What's not so easy is to live, and learn how to let others get by. The storm of Gistou has grown so strong, many are progressively forgetting what life used to be. In such a short time, so much has changed.

Wayward Thinker
had been on the front lines the entire time. There they were, fighting the wuldens, day and night. Mission after mission, day after day, they would dutifully do their job, as had been dictated to them, as mandated by their loyalties. This was not a pretty affair. The job was brutal. The fighting was severe. Yet they would always triumph, over any foe they faced, because they had no choice.

The pride of the hunters rested on them continuing on, even after the loss of Karl Braun. There they would be, in their glory, a reluctant warlord, yet one which their fellow troops looked up to all the same. They were strong. They knew the art of the hunt well, and while their prowess as a battlefield commander had only recently begun being put to the test, they were competent, they were reasonable, enough to pass, enough to have justified the council's decision to elect them.

The presence of humans in the area was bothersome, and something
Wayward Thinker
would try to avoid, but they know all too well: any enemy is still an enemy, and if not with the nosferatu, they would be against the nosferatu. Thus, the solution could be one, and one only: while regrettable, conflict with humans was inevitable. Still, despite this distraction, they focused mainly on their main enemy, the wulden threat, and had been devoting their time to fighting them.

With Sergius Seneca slain, the nosferatu would all too happily flock to the banner of Gabrielle Sommers, as to take from their strength. This push was grand, this push was great, yet the heavy tolls were beginning to add up. Nosferatu, on average, are an equal match to the wulden, neither holding an advantage nor a disadvantage, and while the wulden would certainly be scattered and disarrayed after the loss of both Seneca and the legend himself, Dmitri Damanos, they were still a fierce foe to face, and in the front lines,
Wayward Thinker
would be vulnerable at any moment to being hit by a lucky shot.

After all...nobody is safe in Gistou. Nobody is off-limits. Anyone could die. While they had desired an end to bloodshed,
Wayward Thinker
would be among the casualties fallen in the field of battle. Though they manage to clear an entire area of the wulden presence, reclaiming the lost grounds in the name of their people, showing the pride of the hunters...Gabrielle Sommers pays the price by having had their right arm severed in battle, left leg gnawed off, and multiple gaping wounds across their chest. The vampires are certainly versatile, and the lycans hold a high regenerative value, so a nosferatu with the properties of both would be able to withstand a lot of punishment.

However,
Wayward Thinker
would need some immediate help to ensure the healing would outpace the rate of decay, the set of death coming in, waiting to claim a victim. Not exactly limited by the same morality as some foolish fallen vampires, Gabrielle Sommers was immediately seeking out a source of human blood, as to help replenish themselves. Yet, try as they might, the only humans in the area were nothing but tattered remains. The living humans had already fled, except for the hunter sympathizers. Yet the nearest sympathizers were much further back, for this had been a strategic strike into the wulden lands, a precision blow to further the council's cause.

In the race against time, eventually, Gabrielle Sommers decides to stop, ordering their troops to continue on without them. "
Wayward Thinker
, you know that if you don't do anything, you're gonna die, right?"

And the truth of the difference between Agnigi to Gistou slowly begins to set in, slowly but surely leading to one simple realization: "I...honestly think I might be dead already. It's just a matter of when."

"You should fight until the last minute!"

But they shake their head. "Have...you taken a good look around you?"

The troops notice that they have traveled half-way back, and are now in the mountains they once called home. Though the vivid landscape was no more than charred ashes now, the glorious might of their march could now become fully apparent, for what they had found without even having realized it. "Yeah. We're in the Erimos range right now. I noticed we arrived just as my vision began to fade."

They smile. "I can even see the ruins of a hunter fortress nearby." This place was one of the first to fall, a neverending reminder of the pain and suffering they've been through. Gabrielle Sommers wanders away from their entourage, determined to make it. Limping, crawling, they trudge ever closer to a familiar sight. Though the land had since been tainted by the wulden overrunning it, the bedrock still offers a level of comfort to them. There, on the ramparts of the old castle, they decide to sit down, watch the outside world, and in their final moments, smile. "I only wish...I could have seen more of this."

With the death of yet one more soul, Gistou grows, however, in their passing...they hold serene peace: the world would perhaps not be bad, so in silence, they could not be sad.
It's so...wonderful.
And with that, they were gone.
Wayward Thinker
was
Gabrielle Sommers
,
Isolationist Strongman
, and they were
Lynched D4
.
Spoiler: Full Role PM
Gabrielle Sommers wrote:It's humiliating. Here you were...the pride of humanity. Yes, that was a lie, but it was a lie you upheld proudly, one you almost let yourself come to believe was true, if not for all the meetings behind closed doors. You were a prideful hunter. You held up with the best of them, fighting off monsters, even going against lycans solo, no problem at all.

And in the span of a few months...you've lost everything. You lost your home in Erimos, stolen by wulden scum. To fight their evil, you swallowed your pride and became half-lycan, embracing the name nosferatu by force. And finally, thanks to the actions of Dmitri Damanos, now, the one thing you were good for, humanity now laughs at. They mock you. They shun you. They want to execute you. They trusted the word of a known liar, thief, criminal, insane megalomaniac, over their trusted, long-standing allies.

All for what? Their own personal greed, at how the hunters have become influential? Well, the joke's on them. That influence, that power, isn't simply going to vanish with the revelation of your secret. No...the hunters have built too good a reputation for it to all be entirely ruined. Many humans will willingly support you, and even those that don't can be made to with...
slight
persuasion.

So your kind has taken all the land you could. Some with coercion, some by force, mostly to the vulnerable north, where you have settled down into a new life. But...duty calls! You have wuldens to slay, and humanity to subjugate. It's not ideal, but what else are you going to do? It's their own bloody fault, after all.
roleYou are an

Oh, Crap.Gistou has not been kind to strangers as of late. While open warfare is an absolute hellhole where those who enter are bound to die inevitably by some horrible, terrible death, a simple casualty of war to soon be lost to the ages, it seems that with every passing day, the crushing despair overwhelming the land has led to desperation across even the most remote of regions, and people who would normally be eager to assist one another now struggle simply to survive.

They are not safe.

They are not secure, even away from the battlefield. Death strikes
everywhere
. Disease, which was not very common in Agnigi, runs rampant, with a plague now spreading across the land. This would normally not be a problem: with reduces populations, less people can be infected. Furthermore, each of the three nations has medicine men of varying philosophies and techniques to treat such ailments, and it would only be a matter of time before it was locked down, isolated, and extinguished.

...The problem is, with these doctors, shamen, and mystics now swamped with work as they are deployed to treat the wounded, many not given battlefield immunity and thus being slain for their efforts to heal, there is a shortage of help around, and desperation has mounted. Many of these ostracized lepers have taken to traveling the lands, hoping beyond hope that they could find somewhere, anywhere, to take them in.

Those who do soon learn to regret it. Those who don't lose yet another piece of Agnigi, the hospitality that they so try to cling to. While these conditions do not impact the supernatural creatures, be it lycans, undead, vampires, wulden, or nosferatu, they are not unaffected by the cessation of these services, once so freely given to all. The more altruistic of them may attempt to help, but their efforts--even when not hindered by bigotry--make little difference in the longrun.

So as a whole, the world has become more hostile to those that would travel, and in Gistou, that is a significant portion of the population. It is therefore no surprise to hear of three notable names, now dead, who had been on the roads, fighting for their own causes in their unique ways, and had paid the price overnight.
Toogeloo
was a human brave enough to offer their services in aide of another, a bodyguard meant to protect their clients and guarantee safe travel. This job, one which the hunters had been known for back in the day, would obviously carry with it risks, all for little reward, other than to be noted as a hero of the road, protector, defender, of the just.

Equally as much a loss is on the financial side of travel. What
Toogeloo
was to defense,
Heartless
was to trade: the pinnacle of human achievement, a northern rider whose family had long ago learned of the riches to be had in the world. With precious few remaining, they had devoted themselves to traversing the hostile terrain, to pick up allies along the way, a company of people they would use to make Gistou livable in their own way. While certainly no hero of war, their loss would be a hindrance to the mercantile world, as they were a beacon of how to continue existing with a strong sense of self in the tattered world.

Nobody was able to do anything, mostly out of fear. For fear now runs rampant above all else. Maybe they could have survived if not for it, if the roads were as populated as they should be, but with things as they were, the world would have to continue on and find the final notable death.
Nosferatu
had always been a mysterious figure, more myth than anything else, lurking in the background, vaguely contributing to the world of Gistou, but nobody knows how or why. They had no known origin, no known nation loyalty, nothing. Yet there they were, nothing but a corpse. However, something seemed...off. The masked, robed figure, now nothing but another body, felt somehow different.

As an anonymous, brave soul decided to remove the eerie mask, a look of pure horror and terror spreads over their face, and they die in shock from the sight. Others nearby hesitate to investigate, but ultimately, slowly turn to understand why.
It was thought by many that wuldens could be considered demons.
It was thought by many that Dmitri Damanos was the devil.
It was thought by many that the hellish Gistou was home to nothing worse than them.

They were wrong.
Very, very,
very
wrong.

Heartless, who was

Edith Stein wrote:Hunters weren't the first international exploiters of trade. For them to exist in the first place, they had to take advantage of an already-existing tradition: the merchants traveling the world had existed long before the paleskins emerged from the shadows. You would know, as the Stein family has been a highly-respected name among the northern tribes for generations, their wealth and power giving significant influence in the world of village politics.

Still, in spite of your loyalty to the tribes, your passion has always been the thrill of traveling the world, if for no other reason than to see the sights of the world. The riches to be rewarded from cunning bargaining is an added bonus. A favorite camping spot? The wild Great Lake itself, the cultural melting pot of the world, where all three nations would come as equals.

With the rise of Gistou, the lifestyle you have grown so accustomed to is now in danger, and if for no other reason than the pride of merchants everywhere reviling what the hunters have done, you will fight for what's right. After all...merchants are, inherently, tough, in order to survive the various monstrosities they're up against. None more so than the northern tribes merchants.

It's no coincidence that hunters were once rumored to be a lost tribe of your homeland, and it's time to demonstrate exactly why your kind has such a fierce reputation. The treasures of Agnigi are in danger. Wulden, nosferatu, undead, doesn't matter to you. When someone tries to take what is rightfully yours...you're going to show how precious your belongings are cherished.

Agnigi. How you despise it so. The fools think they are alone in the world. Even among the lycans and vampires, they have forgotten. The bountiful land, the promised land, is truly rich, indeed, but it is not the only land as they so naively believe. Every ship they send out to sea when venturing deep enough may never return...but that is no reason to assume there is nothing else out there. There is. This other land, where you hail from, is a desolate wasteland.

You managed to get away from it, but the rest of your kind are trapped, imprisoned there, because long ago, the very creatures you created banished you there, to that elseworld. It's time to make them remember. It's time to make them pay. You hail from the far away land, the nameless land, and you have vowed to turn their beloved, precious Agnigi into the hellhole you experience, this...Gistou. Yes, you like that much better.

Giving Dmitri what he needed was a great start, but you are no idiot. You know he holds no loyalty to your cause. He is a power-craving megalomaniac. He wants to rule the world, and while he may be crazy, he's not stupid enough to trust you. He doesn't even know your true form. You have lost contact with him, but no matter. You will have your way. You will convert the masses, slowly,
painfully
, one by one, until all remaining are of you.

This is your mission.

This is your cause.

The suffering of others is music to...well, you don't exactly have ears, but it's music to you all the same. They may call you an abomination. But they are the true distortion. Unleash the pain, unleash the suffering, let it all out on them. One by one they shall fall. And you will be there to cause it all. They think they stand a chance...but they don't even know you're out there.

You are The Other.

And they're about to experience the unknown.
roleYou are a
Cult Leader

In addition to the above (which will be granted to any successful recruits), you hold the following
personal abilities
:
  1. You are immune to the D1 lynch.
  2. You have a passive 1-shot immunity to all nightkills the first night you would be nightkilled. You will be informed when this has been used.
  3. In addition to your recruit action, you may sense
    all
of race, location, and home nation, though you cannot sense faction.
  4. You may request a fakeclaim of Northern Tribes, Western Empire, or Eastern Kingdom origin at any time. Be sure to give any other details you wish to include (faction, race, nation, location, role), else I will assume "other" and "vanilla".
You give the home

Other
".
You give the
Location
result of "

Your

You win if your cult controls 50% of the playerlist at any given time.
Toogeloo, who was

Ingrid Wolf wrote:The hunters had to have gotten the idea from somewhere, and the Wolf family knows exactly where: from them. For as long as there have been merchants traveling the roads, there has been a need for warriors to defend them. While many merchants are of the sort where they can defend themselves, you know all too well from your family's long line of traditional work the myriad of wimps among merchants.

All the better for business. Your father and mother taught you from birth how to handle weapons, how to protect an envoy, even how to run interference. You mastered riding raptors and horses from a young age, and have been trained in all the tools of a traditional guardian. From blunderbuss to bow, sword to shield, you are able to use any in whatever situation may arise, and with the rise of Gistou, the need for your services has only grown.

You will fight for humanity, and put your skills to good use. After all, you have a point of pride. Your family was once one of the richest in the known lands, but since hunters have encroached on your business, your wealth had declined, in spite of the risks remaining just as great as before. So, it's time to settle the score. Bandit-turned-cult wuldens, hunter-turned-enemy nosferatu, or you? Who will win the roads? Well, you intend to find out.
RoleYou are an
Individual Human Bodyguard
.
You hold the following
personal abilities
:
  1. During the night, target a player. If they were to be killed, you will die in their place.
  2. During pregame, you may select either "location" or "nation". Each night, in addition to any night action you perform, you may investigate a player and learn whichever you selected in pregame.
You give the home
Nation
result of
Northern Tribes

You give the

result of

You give the

result of

You win if all threats to

I blocked Song because several of their posts seemed rather off and I had a sudden gut scum read on them.

Wake was not around at the time when I asked for his input in the situation so yeah just went with my gut I guess I messed up :(

I KNEW there was something off about Nos...

Will go with my gf on my vote

I appreciate reaching out to me Expedience... in your own particular way, but I'm still not claiming just yet.

But ASoIAF actually needs to claim.

you mean N3 I blocked DGB on N1 and LLD on N2?

I meant the fact that Nos visited ASoIAF N1 with a night action (not a check). And looking at Nos's PM he only has passive personal abilities, which means it was a factional ability which implies he attempted to recruit ASoIAF night 1

Let's hope they are the other vig and hence immune to conversion.

Makes enough sense to me.

A quick analysis of the NKs, Toog probably protected No Retreat (makes most sense to me since Toog died and No Retreat survived). However, I'll wait for Bacde to confirm if this is true.

Nos was probably killed by one of the Town Vigs, which leaves the other Town shot a mystery. Then we have Heartless dead by .. Wuldens?

I'm 50-50 on Isolationists being extinct already. Otherwise we have 2 missing kills, not just one.

But wait! We DID have 5 deaths on N2, didn't we? Titus was already dead then, so where did the 5th kill come from?

someone probably checked you A50 that is what Wake and I have discussed in our thread.

Someone who was not northern I mean

'You may request a fakeclaim of Northern Tribes, Western Empire, or Eastern Kingdom'

Does this mean all three of these factions are Town?

wow nos was a cult leader .... I though he was softing some kind of investigative

I am going to claim:

My race IS not human but I am a part of individual humans faction. I am a hybrid : Undead and Vampire

My parents left me when I was only a kid in a town village in the west empire cuase they were afraid of the consiquenses of their marriage and my new race. I grew up in a human city ; learned all of their skills , trained by Gyles Kaiser (Titus role) to use my spescial body and human combat skills to be a strong warrior.

I am a Champion - Not one of the three champions mentioned in titus role pm but it was crumbing my existance there (there might be other champions but not following the three human champions circle)

I can't get culted in any manner - its written in my pm like the way its written on titus role. so poor nos failed his night 1 recruit attempt. Thats explained in flavor as well. There is a passive about getting informed who is the cult recruiter if an undead or vampire tries to cult me. thats why I was like furios that kuroi was scum day 2 till a scum flip happened later.

I can't target anyone during the nights ; my role is entirely. and I confirm rach roleblock cuase I couldn't check DGB last night.

I am a location checker.

I can confirm that my role killed an isolationist night 2 Without targetting anyone (as I said my role is passive) . For whatever matters I don't wanna claim how or why or when this happens cuase claiming it is entirely antitown.

I can understand after bacde results and nos flip I am a very good chance in your povs to hit cult but I'm not cult. Think about ^.

I'm no idiot to claim such a race or stuff when I'm in this position as scum me ...
