You've put more thought into it in the past couple of posts than I did before the game was run. I had to change things for this thread so I could get everything to make sense without being contradictory or facile. What that also means is that I still probably haven't thought this all the way through.
Everything you say and do matters. People will respond in ways you may never see. May those responses be what you intend.
Hmm, 12 do an appealing number, but Troll might consider taking a look at adding another pair. Patience as you be using it here does seem to be Asceticism that Troll understood before combined with a, perhaps, thoroughness? A belief that more information will also benefit the town and that the day should generally be extended if there be more useful information to be had? Completionism? Troll no be sure what the term be.
The other side of that (which Troll feels no really be captured with Fervor,) probably be something like Instinct. The feeling that you can jump to the right conclusion when there is enough information and that it be better to move on it to preserve momentum than to drag the game on unnecessarily.
Or something. Vi has a nice system going there, but Patience no longer be quite so simple a concept as most of the others in Troll's opinion.
I don't know which ones I am but this was fun to read.
"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"
Not reading that thoroughly, I feel instinct can be the opposite to logic. Yet Patience is now logic or is it just different? (I'd read more but I have to go and want to see discussion on this, since I feel I'm more intuitive than logical, maybe)
I think I have to be rigor and mercy. there are a bunch more of these that apply to me, but I know that I thoroughly cannot put up with whimsy and always find myself arguing against "justice" wagons.
I think, weirdly enough, that both fervor and patience can pretty strongly apply to me.

I feel like I should say that I'm OK with messing around and fluff posting every so often. what I meant was, I expect people to take games seriously on a macro level, and get upset when people go through entire games and demonstrate an unwillingness to actually think or put any serious effort into it throughout the entire course of the game.
I think what I'm trying to describe is probably different from the intended definition, but I'm not sure what else it would fall under.
I don't even think I can count the number of people I've seen do what I described and try to justify it as "it's only a game, pls to not be taking it seriously". it's a lot of the reason I don't really play anymore.
Seem like we have similar issues/feelings/views on people who play this way too much.
Games tend to be NOT fun for me if those involved don't take it seriously enough. Play competently and competitively, yes, fun should be had, but the fun should come from the game, not from goofing off. Which there is the segment of people who consider it fun to annoy others who are trying to have fun doing the thing and then are like "what? can't you have fun?" (just like / along with the "it's only a game don't take it so seriously thing) GAH!~ I've had some conflict with people who didn't really play the game seriously in the past.
I also am constantly arguing against justice arguments.
I'm not going to play against my wincon, but if someone says I've got this idea that could be awesome or explode horribly I'll always push the red button.

I think it's stating the obvious but the issue usually begins for me when the behavior tips to anti-town. If it gets to that degree I get highly annoyed and I will just push and push and push the player to engage and play like a good townie or GTFO and die [err I argue for them to be lynched.]

To the straight and narrow I've done some 'anti-town' stuff. But to me few things are as anti-town as lurking. So where is the decider
In my belly?
But really, there's no line or solid decider. It's a fluid thing that depends on circumstance and what the player is doing and to what degree. I'm sure it's similar for many, something starts to rub as anti-town - distraction, lurking, antagonism, are probably my top 3 - and it just depends how much the rub starts to irritate as to what I do about it, if anything.
I'm sure I've done / have been considered to do some anti-town stuff, but that sort of "haha it's just a game don't be so serious" stuff really irks me, too, and when it gets to a point with someone it's the kind of anti-town behavior I will go hard against because I have a really hard time with it. I think was the main point!

I think the fact that post is being brought up years on is a pretty good sign I'm a Syncretism player. And then probably Will?

I feel like none of the categories describe me well. Some perhaps moreso than others, but I can be active & inactive, logical & reactional, deathtunnel & open-minded, etc.
