Mini #537 Happy Tree Friends Mafia - Game Over

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Mon Dec 03, 2007 1:19 am

Post by KaleiÐoscøpe »

Happy Tree Friends Mafia

Rules On what is Allowable
:
[01] This is only a game, and I expect everyone to remain somewhat civil (although I understand you are essentially a crazy, lynching mob). I will not accept excessive abuse upon freedom of speech: obscenity, profanity, libel, and fighting words will not be tolerated, and if you push it, I reserve the right to have you replaced. In other words, be respectful to all players, as well as the mods.
[02] Do not talk outside of this thread, unless your role PM explicitly says you may do so, and even then, you are restricted to night-time for all out-of-thread conversation.
[03] Do not edit or delete your posts in any way, shape, or form. Once you have posted something, it is there for good, unless I find reason to alter or delete your post myself.
[04] Do not quote your role PMs in any way, shape, or form. This also applies to night conversations. You may, however, paraphrase your PM at any time, but if you go too far, I reserve the right to either replace you or to modkill you should the situation warrant.
[05] Do not post in invisible text, excessively small text, or use [ color = black ] tags.
[06] You may request mod-prods, replacements, clarifications, and votecounts from me directly in the thread, but please precede such with a bolded Mod: So-and-so so that I will be able to answer you as promptly as possible.
[07] Once I have officially posted that you are dead, then you are dead. Do not post any relevant information to the game whatsoever. You are, however, allowed a typical “Bah!” post of some sort.
[08] You may talk during twilight about anything you wish.
[09] Do not question my decisions in-thread: if you have a problem with me, take it to Private Messages. You may, of course, post problems you see with my votecounts, but that’s about as far as I’ll allow things.
[10] You are allowed to have fun, and in fact, I heartily encourage it! This is a game! Play hard, play fair, and enjoy yourself.

Technical Rules

[01] Each day the town must decide on a lynch. Once a majority has been reached on a player, that player will be considered lynched, regardless of any subsequent unvoting.
[02] To vote for somebody, please use bold tags. For example,
Vote: KaleiÐoscøpe
.
[03] If you wish to unvote, I would appreciate a formal bold
Unvote: KaleiÐoscøpe
, although this will not be required.
[04] If the game lags, I will place a deadline, which may or may not be retractable. I will probably not let any day go past two real time months, excepting for if Mafia Scum crashes... again.
[05] If two or more players are tied for the most votes when a deadline hits, and they have garnered the required amount of votes to be lynched under a deadline, the player who reached that number of votes first shall be lynched.
[06] You may vote no lynch if you wish. A majority voting for no lynch will end the day, and the game will progress directly into night. To do this, simply Vote: No Lynch.
[07] Nights will last a maximum of 5 real-time days. If you have not sent me a night-choice by that time (should you have one), you will have a no-action that night.
[08] If you feel that you may not be able to post in-thread for a period of 72 hours or longer, please say so in-thread and send me a PM as warning. If I find it necessary, I will have you replaced, but I would much rather keep all players who sign up for any of my games.
[09] Any and all of these rules are subject to change at my discretion.

"Ashahamama!"
"Ama aslagahaboeha!"
"Aaaaaaaaaah! Azligahabanaba!"
"Na-ah-ah-ah!"

All our little Tree Friends are attracted by the sound. But when they arrived, no one seems to be there. Is this a sign of death approaching? Either way, I'm sure we're all thrilled for some extra blood covering our screens. Do you remember that time when the bones of... oh wait, hosting a game... right.

Okay, it's Day 1. Make sure there's enough blood for the mod to clean, or he will implement a deadline to make it happen. With 12 people alive, it takes 7 to spill some innocent blood... I mean, just blood (go scum!).

Join me on my quest to play every NES game! Some of them are awful.

Luls... I'm too tired to pick a name for random voting, I'm replacing in other game that already has 40+ pages, damn! (with an interesting mechanic though)

Unvote, Vote: Holy
. I don't like that reaction from a single vote in the random vote stage. It seems a little defensive.

It didn't seem defensive at all to me. All he said was that he was too tired to random vote, and then random voted someone else.

Also, roffman, what's the point of putting three votes on someone this early in the game?

It's an attempt to generate discussion in the random voting stage. Considering it takes 7 ppl to lynch, putting them at lynch -4 seems like hardly a threat, and is merely there as i havn't figured out how to dice roll random votes yet. therefore, i decided to just jump on a bandwagon, though if it makes you feel better

It just seemed like Holy was a little too concerned about picking up a vote and felt the need to explain why they weren't fully participating. Seriously though, how much effort is needed to pick a name for a random vote though that you can be too tired to do it?

I was merely demonstrating the point that my vote at this stage is essentially meaningless besides being used to generate discussion. As you can see, the presence or absence of my vote both generates discussion, so if someone gets annoyed at my vote early on, i might as well remove to avoid anti-town conflict.

roffman: Actually voting at this stage (early in the game) can give us information and discussion. That is why I believe early bandwagons are not a bad thing. Gets people talking, voting patterns can be watched and information gathered. You jumping off of somebody just because they call you on it is still strange to me, especially since you said it was a meaningless vote.
