Rules

[01] Votes must be in bold. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
[02] Please be attentive and unvote, if necessary, before casting a new vote. This is not required, but I’d appreciate it.
[03] Lynching will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, their pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded. Feel free to post in twilight, though.
[04] You may vote: no lynch. Majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.
[05] If I impose a day deadline, lynching will require at least half of the regular majority at deadline. In case of a tie, first come first served. In the endgame (six players or fewer) only lynches with a regular majority will occur.
[06] When I set a day deadline, the deadline lasts until I actually lock the thread.
[07] The game is not to be discussed outside the thread unless your role specifically states that you may do so – and then only at night.
[08] Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. Stop typing. Not even a “Bah!” post, please. Save it for after the game is over.
[09] No small or invisible text. Don’t edit/delete previously submitted posts either.
[10] Don’t quote any PMs from me. If you do, I will destroy you.
[11] If you have a night choice to make, it is due by the posted deadline. I will not wait for you. If you do not submit a choice to me, I’ll make it for you and you won’t like it.
[12] If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
[13] Unlike other mods I am fallible. Please point out any mistakes I make gently. In particular, if I post a vote count that does not accurately reflect your vote, it is your responsibility to correct me. If you don’t your vote may be treated as it appears in the vote count.
[14] Only alignments will be revealed on death. ie. Quacks and Doctors will both be revealed as "Town".
[15] Remember, it’s a game and it’s supposed to be fun. Be nice to your fellow players and your mod.

Quack Mafia contains the following Roles :
3xMafia Goons - Plain old Mafia, one kill per night.
6xSane Doctors - Can protect one person from one kill effect each night.
3xQuack Doctors - Will kill any town aligned player they protect each night.

3 People Received the Mafia Goon PM :
Mafia PM wrote: You are a member of the Mafia with XXXXXXXX and XXXXXXXX. You may talk with your partners at night. Have one person from the group PM me the name of the player on behalf of the mafia. The named player will be killed.

You win when at least half of the living players are mafia, or when nothing can prevent the same.
9 People Received the Doctor PM :
Doctor PM wrote:You are a Doctor. Each night, you may PM me the name of another player. That player will be protected from a single kill effect that night.

You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.

- Die, Replicator scum! (please ignore the snake in my head...)

Second thought - I was in the first Quack Mafia, and my thought then is still my thought now - the setup *should* be breakable. But how? I'm trying to think about that.

Yes breaking the set up would be great. Only problem I can forsee is that knowing who the Quacks are means three dead townies. Don't know if that's worth the trade off.

MoS mentioned he had a breaking strategy in the sign up Queue, guess we can wait to hear from him.

Also do Doc protects and Kill requests add up in a numerical fashion, so say Mafia and Quack target the same guy as a Single Doc will he die, but if a second Doc were to also target that person would they then be saved?

"Say something", (I should have ebonicised it for clarity), is a local phrase that means "What are you going to do about it?"

Doc protects against a single kill. I assume that means that it works numerically then. One doc is a single kill protection. Two docs make double protection.

I think we should no lynch today and circle "protect" to figure out who the quack doctors are. The mafia will have a few obstacles:

1) They can't kill anyone being protected by a real doctor.
2) If we only have 3 kills, all three of those people are confirmed protown, and it's possible that a mafia will be killed in the process
3) As a result of 2, the mafia will have to kill someone they are protecting to make it seem like there are 4 quack doctors. Then, we have the mafia split into two categories: 4 quack doctors (1 of which is mafia) and 8 sane doctors (2 of which are mafia). That's 1/4 and 2/8(1/4) chances of finding them, which of course is still the same as we already have, with a few exceptions. We can now guarantee the separations and hold the mafia to specific claims after day 1. Plus, with 3 of the 4 kills being randomly assigned, we've got a 3/11+3/10+3/9 chance of hitting at least 1 mafia during night 1, which is a 90% chance of eliminating scum on the first night. That's pretty good odds.
