Ever wanted to show your devotion to MafiaScum by plastering it's name across your screen, but couldn't come up with anything really cool looking to make your statement? Fret no more, because I, PolarBoy, have created wallpaper in 4 different sizes to pass time at school, and made it available here just for you. Enjoy.

Very awesome, but yeah, popups. Woo-ee...at least they stop coming if you just don't close them.

Lol, I use Mozilla. No pop-ups for me :P. Nice picture PB. Might it be used as the official logo for this site? Perhaps we could use that instead of the phpBB logo on the top-left of the screen like other phpBB sittes I go to.

mathcam: Edit -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Scripts & Plugins. In the main box, uncheck everything except "change images".

As long as you're in the Preferences, go to Navigator -> Tabbed Browsing. Check all the boxes and choose the radio button "Add tabs". When browsing, hold control when you click (or middle click) to open a link in a new tab. Hit control-t to get a new blank one. You'll get how it works with just a minute of tinkering.

Also with Mozilla, right-click on banner ads and choose "block images from this server" and the ads disappear on the next pageview. If someone happens to host their ads alongside worthwhile images, just right-click on an empty spot and choose "unblock".

Awesome, but would this prevent things like mafiascum's "You have a new message in your inbox" think as well? That thing's pretty handy...I'd be torn if I had to make a ahoice.

Keep half an eye on the status bar at the bottom of the window. You'll see a little yellow starburst with an ! in it when popups are being block. Click there and you can instruct Mozilla "Don't block popups from this site". You can also go Tools -> Popup Manager for options for dealing with popups.

Or install the google tool bar. It blocks pop-ups, but you can simply define sites where popups are allowed.

I suspect mith would be ok with them being hosted on this site, if you are game.

Mathcam:

Instead
of what Malaprop suggested, go to
Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy&Security -> Pop-up Windows
and check the
Block unrequested pop-ups
box.

Next, go to
Tools -> Popup manager -> Allow popups from this site
.

Do this when your on mafiascum.net and add this place to your 'allowed pop-ups list'.

And you'll only get pop-ups that you want.

I am using a PeeCee, with Internet Explorer. What is Mozilla? Is it compatible with windows? Is it stable? Would anyone suggest a switch to it?

Mozilla is a netscape based web-browser. I think it is more stable, and it is definitely compatible with windows. I'm using WinXP right now. You'll get it here.
