I hate waiting.
I feel like the deadline is good for voting, but I think a shorter submission period would be ok.

I feel like most of us who participate would be able to handle the shorter time frame because we know we are going to join and usually have an idea of what we are submitting.
I agree. I feel like my ideal would be something like
*Sunday evening: submissions open
*Saturday evening: submissions close and are posted
*Next Sunday evening (8 days later): contest over, results posted

It gives one weekend day for entries and three for listening to them all, which seems like the right balance.

So true that last part. I already know what my submissions and side-submissions will be for the upcoming two contests.

You didnt know? Their alts are half the submissions, just different aspects of a single personality.

I explained this in the previous contest: I'm 'submitting' two songs for each contest: one is an actual song and one is from a video game.
Then, I select one to submit and share the other one with the others during the submission period (so people have something to rate while waiting)
I would like to redirect you to post 7. :D

I'm gonna start doing that but with songs nobody here would enjoy as side submissions.
Here's my favorite song off my favorite black metal album of the year: https://youtu.be/_R79s9vThV0
But the whole thing is great tbh

I for one am livid about the fact that the song contest hasn't started yet and I think that it is incredibly irresponsible and immature of whoever is in charge of this proceeding to have delayed the start of the aforementioned proceeding.
2019 stats: Town WR 76.7%, overall WR 81.667%, 1 scum defeat involving a major mod error in lylo vs 8 scum wins.

In the interest of not letting country names devolve into states, provinces, municipalities and the like, I am going to start changing all country submissions that are sub-national to the country they are a part of. Ex: If you submit French Guiana, I will change it to France.

Huh. TIL French Guiana is not actually a country.

I kinda want to submit as Saint Martin now to see what would happen.

Just got a message from tool that micronations like The Principality of Hutt River are allowed.

Welp.

Uhh.

Oops.
