Standard rules apply, with the following exceptions/extensions:
Notify me (Don't just post in the vacation thread, post here or pm me) if you're going to be unavailable for more than 48 hours. Commitment to eleven other people, blah blah blah. I'll be keeping a closer eye on non-posters this time around- four days without a post (Or notification, of course) or general request will be brought up in the thread and get you prodded, no response for 48 hours will get you replaced.
Private messaging is the preferred method of communication with the moderator for night choices, questions, and the like. If it appears there's a problem, pm me. There may not be.
If I set a night deadline, players whose choices I do not receive by then will be considered to take no action, unless they must perform an action, in which case the target will be chosen at random. If I do not, send me a pm to let me know you are not using a night ability if you do not plan on using one.
One may vote: no lynch, and a majority of such votes will end the day without lynching.
As soon as one person reaches the lynch treshold (Or a day deadline is reached) but before my actually posting their death sequence, it is considered twilight, during which nobody should post game-related stuff. (I'll forgive an honest mistake)
When a day deadline is reached, the person with the most votes is lynched if they have at least half of the required votes. If there are multiple people with the same number of votes at a deadline, the one who reached that number first is lynched. If no one has half the majority, no one is lynched.
If you're allowed to communicate privately, send me an extra copy (Hit back from the "Your private message has been sent" screen and change the To box to Norinel) of anything you send. Private communication at night ends for the night once a night choice (Or a done with discussion/no action choice) is sent in on behalf of the group or the individuals allowed to communicate unless specifically stated otherwise.
If I change any of these rules (Or the standard rules) at any time, I'll announce it. Anything rules-related I say after making this post, publicly or privately, takes precedence over this post.
Modkilling during the day of a pro-town player takes the place of a lynch.
If someone is attacked more times in the night than they are protected, they still die.
If four periods (nights or days) pass with no deaths whatsoever, the game will be declared a tie among all sides with one or more surviving players unless there is some reason for me to do otherwise.
As a thematic add-on to the normal Day/Night structure, I'll setting each day and night in one of the levels, probably in their in-game order, for the purposes of setting. I will still use the terms day and night to refer to game time.- Norinel

Seaside Hill (Night 1):
In an underground room somewhere in one of the area's many islands, PBuG was trapped. There was nowhere to go but up, yet he'd been separated from everyone else somehow, and he'd never be able to get the conveniently-placed cannon to fire up by himself... He wouldn't be able to climb or dig his way out; those abilities of his were long gone, but maybe those breakable blocks could do him some good? He punched out one, and then another, with no useful results. After the third, though, he barely had time to register its contents before the blast (Which cut a nice hole out of the island) hit him.
PBuG (Knuckles, Unprotector)- blown to bits Night 1.
Knuckles could remove all protections (From doc-type roles and specific to the role itself) on one person each night. Once, he could accompany this ability with a kill.
It is now Day 1 (Ocean Palace), 6 to lynch.Last edited by Norinel on Wed Jun 02, 2004 3:02 am, edited 1 time in total.- Mojo

Sorry, PBuG...wasn't me, though. In the future, you should probably leave all role-revealing to the mod, even if you're dead.
The role description hardly seems pro-town, though. Why would a town have use for this? The only situation I can see is if evil has some pretty sturdy protections. In this case, we've gained a lot of information. For example, we know that there's something that can kill scum at night, and that scum may have protection against it.

PBuG's post was out of line, but not a major issue, since my intent was to reveal full role details. (And he was pro-town).

Since PBuG could make a night kill only once, but remove protections from someone each night, we probably have another vigilante. So we have both a normal vigilante and a one-shot vig (PBuG). Having 2 vigs means that the scum roles are probably quite strong, since otherwise that would be unbalanced (I think).
The other possibility is that some Mafia members have a protection. In this case, the Mafia roles are also stronger than normal, because normally Mafia members don't have any protections. So I think the scum roles are quite strong in this game.- Fletcher

That sounds like a good prediction, but I wouldn't rely on anything like that, especially early on.

I agree with the idea that we probably have another vig.
Game theory:
In Sonic Heroes there are 12 main characters (surprised?). They are divided into 4 teams of 3. I think one of those teams may be mafia but I have reasons to think it may be split.
The four teams-
Sonic (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles)
Rose (Amy, Big, Creamy)
Dark (Shadow, Omega, Rogue)
Chaotix (Espio, Charmy, Vector)ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays
Tally: kiwis are the natives

Hm, it's probably way, way too early to be guessing at who's around
However, since we're talking about it..
We almost certainly don't have all 12 playable characters around. At the very least, it'd leave scum very little room to hide, and "mass claim wins" just isn't fun. So I can't see Norinel doing that
What I could see, though, is our resident scum (and seriously. Could our main scum be anyone other than Eggman himself?) being told "you have captured X, Y, and Z, so you can safely claim to be any of them", to make up for a fairly limited selection of claims.
As for the "which ones Sonic fights" idea, towards the beginning of Team Sonic's story they fight Team Rose, IIRC, and you'd have a hard time claiming anyone on either of those teams is evil, I'm guessing.- warpdragon

Team Dark and Team Chaotix are both equally likely bad guys. Knuckles posibly could have been claimed evil.ShowIS: Kiwis get to hunt the natives on Sundays
