Also, don't you think two consensus too scum reads leaving(and assuming they both are town) kind of muddies the water the bit, like now we have to try to dig the null pile to find another 'top town read'.
We're going to have to find 3 correct pairs regardless, so digging of the null pile is inevitable if we can't come up with the needed number of townreads. It could still be helpful to leave top townreads alive to have their thoughts, though, if that's what you mean.

Because you would be on the committee?
Jokes aside, though, I think that's a fair point.

Yes, it is more keeping top town reads around, instead of sending them on their way together and letting everyone else trying to figure it out.
Also, let me bask in the glow of actually being a top town read in early game. Feels nice lol.

Agreed on that, with the caveat that we also shouldn't leave things to the last minute in case we're wrong.

At risk of WIFOM: Drew, would you hammer Klick as scum here?
Probably.
I feel like there is scum motivation to not hammer for the town read, ie ending up as a shot caller here and controlling the game.
But, at the end of the day scum gotta exit to win, and it happening so relatively earl in the game.....would be hard to figure out who my buddy would be.

What made you townread Drew then?
I don't love the committee idea, I don't see what it gains us vs what it potentially loses us.
'Keeping top townreads around' doesn't make sense to me? The goal is have town leave the game. And there's not a mechanic in this game, like wagons or lims, that allow us to get more information the longer we go. The top townreads don't gain anything by stay or become more wiser by staying.

Well, I mean more systematically the town reads should trust fall one at a time, instead of all at once(ie, the two top town reads shouldn't trust fall together at this point).
The trust falls basically are our lims and wagons.

Nuclear kind of explained it a while ago.

Imagining we having consensus 2 townreads, I rather they stayed in the game till the end than go out early.
The closer to the end the harder to make the right choice - so I rather have consensus townies guiding my choices, or at least have someone to talked them out with that I trust.
I don't feel like that scenario is likely though.

Just a heads up I won't be around much this weekend. I would accept the mayor position if everyone agreed
Right now I'm feeling like mala, Merlyn, and patch might be the riskiest options to pair with people. Nothing much here other than their eagerness to trust fall. I could easily be wrong about them
Alianna is pinging me too for some reason and I can't really explain it. Maybe LAMIST? Less so than the three above
I'm most confident in skygazer and Drew atm but the confidence isn't very high here. That's typical me though. Ghandi feels ok I think
Klick feels ok but I'm always wary here so I think we wait it out. His eagerness to get people out of the game could be a bad sign but not necessarily one
Random Nurse we wait for
Did I miss anyone?
I feel fairly confident that Merlyn is town and I don't feel so strongly about Skygazer atm
I think Mala is pretty likely town
I also have Alianna on my radar as decently likely scum
I don't have a strong read on patchwork
Why am I likely scum?
I'm running out of options and I'm not compelled to think you are town. I don't read your posts and view them as necessarily from a town perspective
What are you doing here that is different from what you would be doing as scum? What makes you town here that I can see and go 'ah, that's town-Alianna'?

Fair enough.
I haven't really thought about what I'd be doing as scum here. I don't necessarily think you should townread my posting so far and I'm not planning to argue that. I asked because a few people were saying similar things and none had given much reason. I wasn't sure if it was something like that or if I was getting scumread over silly little things like usual.
