Background information

So Orbiting and I suck for not making it to Mini-Mo-Meet last weekend. Too much stuff going on, too broke, etc. Sad pandas all around.

BUT.

Instead of trying to get a weekend where we can travel out of town, what if we took the hosting 'burden' off of MeMe and her clan and had something at our place?

We're thinking of May/June 2009, though that conflicts with one of the proposed months for Yos/Malyss' Beach Bash.

Kansas City, which means a closer/bigger airport than Springfield (no offense, MeMe!). Crash space would be... not ideal, but we have enough blankets and floors for people if they want to.

1.) I would certainly come if I can! Whether or not that's possible or at all likely is yet to be seen -- a lot will depend on where my life's chips fall, and if I have any indication from my past they could fall just about anywhere at this point.

2.) That is a terrible name. You'll firstly have to include your name if possible, as precedent has been set in that regard (jeepfest, MeMeMeet, Mini-Mo-Meet, Thespival, starkadium, Yos' Beach Bam, Tallywhack).

Suggestions? I can only think of Mindflayers. Flayme of Passion? Flayming Man? You might be able to use a form of WiKiD instead. Dunno.

3.) No real suggestions for dates.

And, I would definitely be interested, though whether or not I could come would depend on where I'm working, whether I have vacation time, etc. I know (mid-to-late) June would be better, just on the "Michelle will be out of school" basis.

Without discussing it with anyone here, I'm pretty sure the Springfield contingent could be there (MeMe, Dirge, Atticus, Fletcher, mlaker, spork76) -- but the last three will be just out of high school, so I can't be 100% about them.

Started an attendee list in the first post. At this point I'm leaning toward

June 12-14 or

June 26-28, with a day or two optional on either end. The latter set of dates might be too close to 4th of July, though.

...or would people WANT to come on the weekend of the 4th? Fireworks are illegal in KCMO, though, so it wouldn't be

much of

that sort of party.
