Might as well quickly try to list out the case now.

Kaguya and Larvae.
1. Refused to try to read Reisen, had no issue reading Kagerou.
2. Kagerou was outwardly amused when he observed Kaguya trying to get themselves out of a bind with a crow bar after the clown piece flip.
3. Larvae's posts in response to kagerou's vig claim does not appear to be someone who saw their claim coming.
4. Larvae tried to kill Kagerou.
5. Kaguya tried to kill Kagerou.
6. Kaguya kept saying they would reexamine or look back at something, but never did repeatedly this was mostly in regards to my and Reisen's posts.
7. Reisen's replacement spent a odd amount of time town casing Kagerou while pretty much refusing to talk about Kaguya, beyond just "I KNOW THEIR MAIN" and then stopping because they were happy to point suspicion at them,but didn't know where to go from there.
8. They inherited this same sort of hesitance to try to read Kaguya as the old Reisen did, basically town binning Kagerou. But not pushing me and barely pushing Kaguya. They both seemed disinclined to look at Kaguya. Like they were afraid of talking about them.
9. How Kaguya talked to Kagerou, I and Aya is very different to how they talked to reisen, they seemed almost frustrated with Reisen's unwillingness to case them and kept things short.
10. I think Reisen's relatively weak play put a lot of pressure on Kaguya to succeed and win the game before town started to put it together. New Reisen noticed this before not saying more. In addition, when old Reisen finally made a read on Kaguya it was a read that developed and read very differently than other read they had made, like they weren't quite sure how to word it and ended up being more careful in how they worded it as a result.
12. Reisen visiting/reflecting Kaguya is the least risky play for that scum team to make.


11. Brain is kind of wooden on this one. Like an old attic with rotten floor boards. It feels complex.
There's an obvious question mark that can be explained a few ways in terms of Kaguya's position on Reisen and their abilities.
a. They pretty much said Reisen wouldn't have that spell card. When that didn't make sense.
b. Now I know it was informed because they had the spell card.
c. Now we have the problem of, okay Reisen flips without the spell card Kaguya shows they were right for a bizarre reason but what the hell does that gain them when it leaves the game with a giant questionmark on who did have the ability, while also putting them in the awkward position of having to defend a Reisen scum flip without the ability and clearing them for a bad reason. One that on actual examination showed that, yeah, the spell cards aren't 1:1 copies or literal translations. It was flimsy as hell.
d. The problem is that I'm not sure if they were so adamant on killing Kagerou now because they realized that this would backfire hard on them if Reisen flipped scum and the town would notice that their observation of the spell card was bullshit, or they just laid it as a relatively clever mislead/red herring.
e. It's hard when Kagerou and Reisen were both so inactive. ish.

13. The number of times Reisen just let Kaguya say whatever points to them not wanting to trip up their partner. The latest one is when Reisen pretty much didn't point to any evidence while saying they figured out who Kaguya's main was and then said nothing when Kaguya was like, "Dang, you figured it out!" Kaguya didn't even ask anything about it. just straight up acceptance. It's like they outright didn't want to talk to them.
14. Kaguya kept saying they would pretty much only engage Reisen in real time, to get a read on them which let them, you know, never really talk to them, it's excuse making.


Outstanding questions:
f. I don't understand why Kaguya didn't capitalize a whole lot harder on Kagerou's entrance to melo.
Or in fact, why no one did.

I'm going to look stupid if I'm wrong but I do think it makes a lot of sense here.
Pretty much scum buddies that can't connect die together.

I need to check Kagerou though.
But there's just a lot there that makes it feel kind of obvious what we're dealing with, the fog of war cleared, it feels like.

It does suck that Kagerou might have left us hanging there if they're town.
But I can't actually hold these things against people, I don't know what they're going through, or feeling.

Well, I guess I'll hear them both out.
It sucks to lose in elo, so I'll try my best just to get them to cross vote each other and then decide. I'll take my time and carefully consider Kagerou and whether the whole scum team just really, really, wanted their buddy dead or not.

But it makes me smirk just thinking about it, so probably not.

and in her case, she played exceptionally this game.

I'm wondering how much of the game Reisen really read and whether they've used those readings to target people's reads of them using keywords.

I'm really terrible at identifying those kinds of plays though.

I genuinely wasn't sure. They say they would've though.
4 hours left, no response very well could have had us forced to vote Reisen instead though.
They said they had no expectation last time that people would rush through the Marisa elimination, but they couldn't have had that same faith with 4 hours left.

I'm pretty much at the point of voting Reisen, a Kaguya/Kagerou team would have had to really work for it to clinch this win.

That said, I've not voted incorrectly in elo. I will read every post because if I'm going to be wrong I want to feel the crushing feeling of failing to solve a problem so I do better next time instead of giving myself an excuse.

This is, funnily enough, the closest I've felt to voting wrong in an elo situation. Even though it really shouldn't be.
There's just something about having two decent scum players in a scum team that fundamentally scares me.
