I fucking called Dannflor and Drew town and litigated it successfully despite my self imposed post restriction. There was also discussion around here about whether scum would be aware of the dichotomy of one player submitting an intent and another not, and by necessity scum would be aware of that because it was pointedly a thing in the small hood in like the first post.In post 473, Bingle wrote:In post 246, Ircher wrote:

Pointing out that I would certainly analyze the playerlist, with the hopes of showing that I think the same is true of both my hoodmates. I don't think any of us would put pages of effort into it, but there would at least be some thought. In post 70, Bingle wrote:

I was disappointed nobody engaged me more, I'm very reactionary and had a full story planned out for why being in the small neighborhood killed my motivation. Yet because nobody talked to me about it, I never got to share the fake sob story. :(AKA, rBree2. Casual tryhard. it probably would have been responsible of me to engage more, but i like ripping the bandaid off in elo sometimes. it's less painful to be wrong on a strongish instinct than it is to overthink myself out of that instinct lol-

And well.... that was that. With one last greatpush, Skygazer and Bingle closed the trunk of Ranger's car. She was leaving the game too, and the two of them were kind enough to help her move out. As the last member of thedrove off into the sunset, Skygazer and Bingle looked at each other, eye to eye, mafiatoTina, and shared a firm victory handshake.Tina
They had just won the game, alongside Ircher, Dannflor, light_ganski, Doctor Drew, and SirCakez. But what of the continuous cycle of town and scum, mod and player, victory and defeat? Had the players come any closer to dismantling that which keeps it turning and turning? That is only for you to decide. And so the curtain falls on yet another game of..... Creative Mafia!!!-

Dear players,
I had a good time moderating this silly game. I was thinking it would be fun to have players collaboratively come up with the flavor of a game, and although perhaps there could have been a way that nudged players more in that specific direction, I'm pleased with the time we spent here.
Dannflor and Doctor Drew: I enjoyed your lack of gimmick. It is always good to have people remind us of the chief aim of this activity, which is to have a game of mafia played through to the end in a fair and enjoyable manner, and you both did so admirably and kept the pace of the game going in its early stages amidst all of the people pursuing their own personal ideas.
DragonEater70: I greatly appreciate that you saw this game to its end. I'm sorry that The Undead Poet didn't get to see the full extent of what their creativity could have achieved in this game, which partly I attribute to its relative sparseness and quickness, but I respected both the variety and ambition of the goal.
light_ganski: I found your creativity to be the heart and soul of this game and the written brilliance of your intention immediately sent me into a tizzy. It made me very happy when Skygazer engaged with it after you had been limmed. I found that the way many others seemed to scumread your admirable commitment to it to be thought provoking.
SirCakez: your gimmick often made me laugh and smile and I appreciated it for its unobtrusive elegance, humor, and concreteness, as well as your use of multimedia to enhance it.
Ircher: the way you used spoiler text as a highlight to make yellow font readable on all skins was a brilliant use of bbcode that I would never have thought of. It was so simple and yet weirdly counterintuitive, like I stumbled over it when recreating it for the flip despite having seen it in action. Very cool.
Ranger: I enjoyed how you came up with multiple ways each night to use the intentions part of the game to try and seem townier. And in general, I appreciated all the ways people read into others' intentions to inform their own reads.
Bingle: I loved your post restriction, and I personally had a great time reading your posts and thinking "oh, so that's what he's saying." I was really awed with how much you were able to say with limited pieces of text. I also liked how the neighborhood was able to serve a concrete purpose as a place where you could drop the gimmick, and you dropping it in ELO felt like a suitably climactic "from whence we came" moment -- a return to classic mafia.
Skygazer: thank you for consistently using the opportunity to send me something different each night to push the boundaries and make me laugh. Most of all I was grateful for how you were able to engage with other people's gimmicks in ways that lifted them up and made them feel like a part of the overall story of the game. Also good job on winning it : )-

Well played Skygazer. This was a fun game. I indeed tried to tie myself to Bingle. I wonder if instead of playing aggressively on purpose day 3 I just tried to play like town and get Bingle limmed, it would have been better. I also wonder if I did my tying to Bingle less enthusiastically it would have been more convincing.-

the flavor was amazing. gr8 modding!!!!!
this might be an unpopular opinion but i enjoyed how chill and low pressure this was, i didn't feel as bad for my laziness. i liked the prod rules.
the entire elo i was just thinkin about how embarassing it would be for a person to lose a game they designed. so i'm glad i didn't screw up lol. this was actually the first time i got to play this i think so it was kinda poetic to get to place the hammer.
self-indulgent anecdote time: i remember when i started getting active on this site again, i saw this setup being played and was like oh that seems cool. and then i saw my name as the setup designer and was like whatttttttt i don't remember that
realizing the neighborhood existed and then realizing my messages likely wouldnt be seen was such a funny turn of events tho
