Jebus, do you want to stop experimenting with your vote when it's clear that there's nothing unusual about it, and start providing some actual content?

No a few players are attempting to make it degenerate into a science experiment, and it is rather unnerving to tell the truth.

I'd agree, except we do need to know something about the environment we're trying to play in. If you feel that my experimentation is somehow preventing you from scumhunting perhaps you can offer some content?

I have an idea that may hurt scum. I tried to do it last game, it's a mass roll name call. But only this time, how 'bout it be just from what show/book/whatever everyone is from? This way, if scum have the same powers as last game (falseclaim/safeclaim), it will make it harder for them to fake claim.

Opinions?

Wall-E the problem is it will be very hard to learn anything concrete about the setting we are playing in this early on in the game. The way it is set up is working to deny us any of that information until the time is "right" in Tar's eyes. So we might as well play this game like we would any normal game until something is revealed to us proving that we shouldn't.

@Batt: It seems like an interesting idea, but Tar has told us not to think the last Mind Screw is anything like this one. Whether that is just to throw us off or true is irrelevant at this point in the game. I am up for doing an origin claim if everyone else is.

So far the special ability concerning voting isn't in this game, but the hidden rules are.

I think what you're suggesting is that the town give a flavor claim. The problem with this is what if one of the people who claim is a cop who's role name is a sheriff (like that sheriff from Eureka)? The scum will have a better idea what role some of us are.

I vote no.

No, he's just suggesting we claim the series (or whatever) that our role comes from. So, in that example, just Eureka.

I can't see how that would aid the scum, but I also can't see how it aids the town.

If that's the case, then I agree it seems useless. Still, who knows? It might end up helping a lot. I'm down, provided EVERYONE agrees to do it.

i'm fine with it. a benefit is that if there is any type of role cop like last game they can catch a fakeclaiming scum. however, like in last game, there could be certain roles that investigate as rolenames different from their own. but this all depends of the existence of said role cop

Ok, I admit, I am the double voter. I am not claiming my role name or place of origin though, so I can disprove scum counter-claims. Pretty much this is how it works: My FoS counts as a vote (It is also not counted in the FoS count). Now, let's get back to scumhunting :P

Has anyone proven anything yet?
Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

I think it's safe to assume votes
Don't
stick after they've been unvoted, and that FoS count holds no power.

Of course, the above is completely wrong if the numbers are wrong...

And I'm for the origin claim.

The FoS count definitely holds power if what Malthius says about his FoS counting as a vote is true. Its also somewhat important if certain players are unable to FoS people, but I don't know what it means at this point.

I know I've made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal. I've still got the greatest enthusiasm and confidence in the mission. SOMEONE's vote has stuck on me. I'm concerned that one of us has a permanent vote. I'll be more concerned if we discover that it stacks, meaning one person could vote six times for someone and get them killed.
