Dunnstral read is that dunn is applying a LOT of good early pressure to good early targets in Mastina Murdercat and Flea. All slots I expect would generate both content for the thread and reads for the player if pressured.

But Dunn is clever enough to do that kind of target selection purposefully seeking for weakness.

So I'm not willing to hard lock Dunn town but Dunn doesn't die today.

This morph thing with LLD seems way too involved to be pocketing on their part at this point and while I don't love the whole "effort == town" thing because its pretty easily exploited, it seems to me like we've gone beyond the point where morph would keep doing this as scum.

That is only happening due to the cabd head, by the by. This wouldn't be happening if the slot was a ffery slot, I don't believe.

But you can ask lexi herself for her opinion/take on that.

With that said, Lexi has very obviously followed motivations to not want to effort this game, but I value her input enough that if she needs me to help her engage the game this way, I will do so until she tires of it.

That is the average but there are exceptions to that rule. The Tenet scum discord, for instance, was the equivalent of about 70 thread pages. We all used both realtime and our PT to keep track of everything. And did plenty of active coaching. (In the case of Tenet, to get Gypyx outside of what we knew Nacho was looking for in his scum range)

That scumteam had LLD on it, incidentally.

I think the key to this game is gonna be preventing scum from pivoting from the "eliminate the easy marks" stage to the "expand the scum pool with paranoia and setup spec" second stage.

K. The marathon game is over now.

I just had one of the least pleasant experiences I have ever had playing mafia in my entire life.

In which I was invited into a dance game as the 9th player, and in the course of essentially 5 minutes of a deadline, the game had already been over and I was without a partner because players had essentially already decided what they wanted to do.

I don't know why I was invited to that game just to be ostracized, but I was especially bothered by how I was told that it wasn't a big deal.

It hurt me a lot. And Bingle was a player who had a pre-planned partner going into the game. He contributed to the worst feeling I've ever had playing Mafia on this site, I think, and I'm kind of really just angry.

My problem is I thnk Flea and Sigmund were both town wagons yesterday.

Like, I stepped in and threw my weight around because that was my opinion. You know me. I know when to shut up and fade and let townies do their shit and just come online later if I need to. I'm huge on checking that kind of ego as town.

Going into today, I read them as scum. This claim makes it harder to believe they are by a significant magnitude but they walked the claim back and it's a bit botched as far as claims go so I could easily see it being fake.

I’m also not sure what to make of anya being lean scum despite the quotes leading up to that post, but I guess lean scum is the strongest read in that list. Maybe Titus is just town actually, but I’m still going to reread the start of this day later. Ok future MC here, I think I will just townbin Titus.

Arte – This interaction with the wagon just looks super town to me. Pushing people in that direction, but in a sort of collaborative way that reads townie to me. Maybe because I do that too as town.

Bell – The Bell quotes in relation to Anya look awful to me. Early defending which doesn’t feel warranted to me, no comment for the rest of D1, followed by stalling to try to let Anya come back and claim. Also I haven’t looked closely yet, but Bell is one of the people I didn’t like voting me considering our experience together.

I feel the problem with forcing through Anya the way I did is I looked back for connectives and it's all hard opposition or support. Makes it hard to differentiate the townies who had true read conviction from the scum who wanted to lend their voice to that to not bus. I'm still processing it cause I'm sure there are ways to differentiate, but in the mean time.

This path I'm taking now is going to provide more nuance in people's approach and give me a better sense of why they do their progressions.
