It is. If nothing else; I honestly hope this serves as a lesson that nobody gets to lylo/mylo by accident; and that extreme stubbornness with reads does nothing to advance a town win condition. In post 1377, keyenpeydee wrote:It's okay, Cabd!Currently in COVID hell, population: Entire Household

Also that you can be transparently town as possible; but in the end mafia is a team game and if other people cannot identify you as town, not even the most experienced players can change the direction of a game.In post 1380, Cabd wrote:

^^ Reading this LYLO sure did teach me a lot. Reevaluating is a must, town failed to that in the two of the LYLO's I was part of, and we lost both times. In post 1380, Cabd wrote:

I was typing a reply when the thread was locked haha.
Gg Echo. I kept rereading the game and Echo kept pinging me as town and nothing was really pinging me as scum. Lesson learned for next time. Sorry Cabd! I really enjoyed playing with with you all and hope we get another chance as my skills improve.-

It's all good so long as your takeaway from this is that stubbornness exists in LYLO and you have to be aware of that and correct for it. had you been open to voting elsewhere; the game might have been winnable. But the second you committed to voting me 100%; we'd already lost.Currently in COVID hell, population: Entire Household

Was ThinkBig's play a good one then? Did that help secure Echo getting town read for the win?In post 1375, keyenpeydee wrote:Yay! Congrats Echo and ThinkBig! Both of you did a great job! Town also did a great job, so congratulations, too! <3
Also, I am open to honest critique from everybody about my game play haha.
Edit: I was actually open to lynching Echo as well, but I was hoping by appearing to refuse to change my vote that it would get me more townread. I was assuming that I would get lynched in the end and I thiught you to be the next most viable lynch and better you than me.-

Your refusal to show any appearance of doing so is what made me vote you and not Echo.In post 1388, JimmyUrineMoneyShot wrote:Edit: I was actually open to lynching Echo as well, but I was hoping by appearing to refuse to change my vote that it would get me more townread. Sad Im not home so cant format or write long posts well.In post 1385, MarioManiac4 wrote:Echo played very well in this game. He was able to make optimal plays consistently and not be scumread for it.
I'm not sure where Unabombah got the idea I was hard-TRing Echo D1, though.
I never thought you townread Echo, if I ever said so, it was to try and get a reaction.
What first pinged me, was how ECHO TOWNREAD YOU from the start. He said he townread you to high hell or whatever, and IMO there was no reason to. Atleast yet.
I also found very quickly the fact that he had the most solid wincon, and I'm fairly certain his worst surprise was having Wolverine as the BP.
All in all, this was a learning experience to me, being my very first game here.-

Oh my. I didn't think spectating this game could get any more painful. In post 1388, JimmyUrineMoneyShot wrote:

That's kind of an unfair thing to say, though. As Cabd said, town as a whole shares responsibility for the loss.
I hope part of your take-away from the game is that MYLO is not the place to look like you won't reevaluate, especially if you will.-

I promise it was just as painful participating in it.
Does scum chat normally get released? Also I am curious to see what people talked about in the dead thread.
I
Edit: Unaboma, I was very with your investigation skills and you did the absolute best you could have to not get lynched, which is a shame, since town probably would have won if you'd stayed alive.-

I thought your posting was good, fwiw. Things look different from the outside of a game, though. You were carrying a huge weight in terms of your predecessors' play. It's possible to turn reads on your slot around as a replacement sometimes, but not always, unfortunately. In post 1395, UnaBombaH wrote:Was also wondering, was my posting/attitude bad when I subbed in?
I was aiming from the start to make sure Echo would be atleast fairly suspected, so I tried to provoke/bait anything out of him, even if I felt my lynch was inevitable.-
