So either I'm being conned by Rad, or it's just RC and BBT like I thought earlier.

My latest thoughts were probably the closest I had all game.

BBT - it got a bit tense this game, no hard feelings, we both paired with 1 mafia in the end.

Games are definitely better when replacements are done earlier in the game - I found both TL and LeRea hard to read all game.

I think I had an unfair advantage coming in d2 with a read list based on not knowing my role.

HEM read through me so easily though. If he survives d2 I'm sure I'm dead. Even if he didn't read me highest scum at end of d2, I don't think I can keep up the facade with him in game. The 1266 call out literally gave me a headache cause I couldn't figure out a good response. Took me an hour to just roll with "uhhhh what are you talking about?!" I rewrote my response 10+ times.

Lurkers are bad for town and I think flipping TL d2 instead of HEM is probably the better move, even if HEM is scum there. If you can't get a read on someone, they're a huge liability and you're just taking a chance on keeping them in the game.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong - I'm still a newbie! I enjoy talking about theory regardless of who won.

Koba do you think it was the right move to do in a newbie game? I know you SEs were controlling the game at the beginning but how is a newbie going to read that play?

I read your defense stage as "koba's probably town here" but also felt like you just had to go in case my read was wrong. I think most town are going to read that kind of move that way in a newbie game.

well bell was actually 100% playing the way they would as an informed party and I knew the cop claim was 100% untrue.

i dont think the lie was necessary esp when you have one of the best mason detectors in the game.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's an awesome catch to spot that, but newbies aren't going to spot that at all (I certainly didn't, I read both Bell and Take as scum for no specific reason, and the mason reveal blew me away). They are going to notice when you false claim though and it's hard to think of a world beyond that where Koba is town fake claiming.

Back in the day, we had mentors helping our newbie scum teams, during the game, and it was awesome. And post game we'd sit around and talk about what was good/bad about everyone's play. Mmmm good times.

you had RCE. he was good ^_^ I think I would have limmed him at ELo. it's one of those games where town misplayed by being emotional in D2 and rushing. it's game-ending because it was such a losing position and i have pointed it out. unfortunate that players chose to tune me out of the game because they thought i can talk myself out of anything

Koba, it was not autopilot. It was mechanically the right play for D1 to elim the scummy counterclaimer who was gotcha'd by masons. Fuck that play in general and I want you to internalize this as your fault because it's never been the best town play to counterclaim in a newbie setup. I was also giving you an olive branch and broke it right in front of my face and spat on it.

Top of advice for future games, don’t vote too soon in LYLO situations like that.
Make sure you use as much time as possible and everyone is able to give in their input.
