Firefly has the potential to be a ‘deep scum’ player, for sure. I pretty much townbinned him D1, but suspected him when I saw the conflict between his calculated style of play D2 and the opportunitic way he approached the Fork wagon at the end of D1.
Ben has a very good game, apart from his moments of extreme paranoia. I can tell he’s going to be a powerhouse once he improves the analytical side of his game. His ability to move the game forward and produce content is very good.
I think all the newbies in this game are naturally good Mafia players actually.
Norwe is spontaneous, has a stream-of-consciouness posting style, usually posts on catch-ups by commenting on past pages posts, gets rather fired up in certain moments in games, is relatively as playful as me in games and likes casual shitposting
Thanks for the praise Firefly. But considering i was the roleblocker and town was so stacked it wasn’t really all that well played by me since i got suspected early. If i were the mafia goon it would have changed everything since you could just roleblock Esoteric and kill Salsa. And then endfame by mislimming Trendall. Of course even better than that is if my PR guessing didn’t suck so bad and we got rid of them early.

I think i played well for surviving a 1v1 against Luca. But that entire situation should really have been avoided if we’re talking optimal play here.

The moment Ben Dover put the brakes on the building Fork wagon i knew this was going to be a hard game. And then of course all of the PR’s were slots that’d be most helpful as mislim options or town to fool/pocket. While the most annoying/strong town players were VT.
Just bad luck really.

You’ve shown in both newbies we’ve played together, as well as in the post above, that you have no idea how to play Mafia.
You don’t eliminate players based on who ‘deserves it’ - if you did, then you’d automatically be policy-eliminated on D1 every time, as your attitude stinks.
That’s the last time I’m gonna bother interacting with you.

Oof this game soured things for Luca and Trendall both
Spoiler: notes dump
*assuming I would be read as town starting D4
*since Firefly and Trendall both got empty checks and Norwegian's behavior was not PR level behavior (especially since Norwegian was at E-1 at a time but didn't claim) I knew Salsa must have been last PR
*I was going to ask Salsa to claim and she would have said Jail (PR's being revealed doesn't matter in this strategy)
Norwegian flips town:
Bruh
Norwegian flips RB'er *happened* (last partner is a goon)
Eso and Salsa should choose one person in {Firefly, Trendall} to target, basically a cross fire
What I was proposing was this:
Eso -> Trendall
Salsa -> Firefly
If Salsa jailed scum successfully or scum holstered we would 50/50 Trendall Firefly since I knew that had to be last scum if Norwegian flipped red
If Eso tracked sucessfully scum has to kill eso or get confscummed immediately D4 and if eso was killed then we know jail did not work successfully and so whoever Salsa didn't jail was scum (Trendall)
Norwegian flips Goon (last partner is a RB'er)
I had a strategy for this but then I realized it actually doesn't work very well so smh my work
imagine having the userid "ben dover123"
what a userid i respect it a lot

btw, me assuming there was a JK was a complete accident on my part lmao. I didn't read the setup properly. I find it hilarious that I was killed over that too.

If so, she should have known/heavily suspected he was scum and I was Town, based on the no-kill, and it would have backed up my Norwegian/Firefly theory.

Uhhhh I would assume so. I doubt she targeted Ben. But scum can no-kill, right?
Yes, but in context it would heavily suggest Norwegian being scum.
I'm not sure I've ever seen scum deliberately no-kill N1 in a Newbie. It's normally not a good move as PR's are powerful in a semi-open like this and need to be removed.
