looks like i swung a miss this game, haven't done that in a newbie in a while
seems there are some factors i'm overrating as town-telling - stuff like stubbornness or whether a slot is searching or not
alternatively, there were notches in the scum's play that i noted but undervalued. the way cook folded and revealed her whole town strategy after only a little pushback about it. the way whemestar said a post "screamed" scum and then only weakly followed up on it. in retrospect, these were clear signs that those plays were performative and disingenuous, but instead i got hung on content any decent scumplayer could produce.
need to focus more on making sure the way i sort between town and scum is different from the way one might sort between players who are making an effort and who should replace out but haven't.
