March 10: "Poetic Justice" Day!

Have a creative side? Let it out today! Write up that cool theme game idea you've had bouncing around your skull for months. If you are an artist, volunteer your services for t-shirts and cards (seriously, we need to get on the cards before Phoebus hunts me down and murders me in my sleep). Sing a song about Mafia and put it on youtube so we can all laugh at you.

Don't have a creative side? You probably do, really... maybe your dad yelled at you for drawing on the walls when you were little and you are repressing it. Maybe today is the day you finally get over it, and go on to become an award winning novelist.

If so, I expect a cut.

This day was made for me.

Mafia

It started just to train,
But oh how much it has gained.
It has procured a lot of fame,
This thing we call the Mafia Game.

Mafia, Werewolf, Alien, Invader,
Assassin, Witchhunt, Shapeshifter.
The goal could not be any simpler:
Go ahead and find the killer!

But we all know and understand,
How it's more; it's quite grand.
Oh, how we love everything we can,
Do when we form this lynching band.

A great battle of the wits,
So intricately do we knit.
Though we're prone to fits,
Most of us will never quit.

At least not permanently;
Who gives up the lynching tree?
Even though we can disappear,
We come back, inevitably.

And that's the small little charm,
That draws so many in like a farm.
So many cries of, "DARN!"
As we try to hit the side of the barn,

In our effort to catch the scum,
Which we will never have done.
That's because we love noose and gun,
After all, it's just so darn fun!

Lynchings,
Killings,
Forum Crashing,
Endless Talking,
And some winning!

Mafia has everything and all,
From one-liners up to text-walls.
Rushing lynches or letting them stall,
Having a high only to suffer a fall.

Psychologically destroying your foes,
With tactics that nobody else knows.
WIFOM battles row after row,
Is it a bad thing? I say "No!"

Sometimes we win,
sometimes we suck.
And it's always been,
with a bit of luck.

We like to fight,
With intuition's bite.
Some say that's quite,
A bit too trite.

And for those who like to think that,
They often don their logical hats.
A swing in the dark with their bats,
Can sometimes kill even the best rats.

Of course we love to try and persuade,
Though it can be difficult for those we hate.
In the end the outcome is what we make,
And sometimes how good we can fake.

The game is very complicated,
So it seems like it's almost fated,

That the evolving game will never die,
And that we'll always manage to get by.

Mafia is one of the best things,
Because it just has that certain ring.

I could keep on going, on and on,
Because the enjoyment will never be gone.
We've had plenty of retirements,
Which weren't permanent,

Because we love this site,
We love this game,
We put up a good fight,
'Cause it's not lame!
I've said its name,
And it feels so right,
It has such a fame,
And what a sight!

I've got to say that I really get,
How we all love mafiascum.net!
