I don't see any kind of obvious partial skill claiming plans, I think any advantage to open claiming a skill is probably not worth reducing Kira NK info, but keen to discuss if anyone feels differently

But, in this game. It's all about finding Kira. The group helping Kira could pretend to look like Kira to get the town distracted. It's different than a usual game. So intentionally doing that could just mean someone is scum but not actually Kira. So anyone doing early things that could help Kira late game, is someone that should be eliminated early rather than later.

I known it seems silly but consider the following pros and cons.

Pros

- If I am VT, it frames me and you appear innocent.
If I am a Kira follower, I would kill a townie and you would be fine.
If I am a power role, I'm likely killing a townie instead of whatever I'm supposed to be doing.
The frame is permanent.
It would be funny.
Literally noone would believe you actually did this and I would likely be limmed tomorrow for claiming it happened, assuming I am town.

Cons

There is an incredibly low chance you die to your own Death Note, although this would be a funny outcome.
You don't choose who dies n1.


Pros seem to be outweighing the cons here.

the problem we have is that we don't know what we killed. we might have killed a townie instead. we need some sort of strong evidence to kill based off things that aren't specifically kira hunting, which is hunting for a mastermind serial killer, and normal scumhunting tools might as well be a bunch of ass. so we need to kill off based on a 'could this player easily be kira?' type of mindset first. if we get followers, that's good. but it should be secundary and accidental when we do it imo.

Also, this one believes that no flipping was hinted at but was indeed forgotten to be properly included in the roles. Part of the tl;dr of the setup is:

My 2 cents on it;
Half the genre is 'social' in social deduction. I don't think there's a valid argument where Lorne isn't contributing, they've said their thoughts and engaged with other players. It's a completely valid as a way to play and part of playing mafia is adapting to playing with people of very different personalities. If people want to play like this to enjoy themselves I see no reason why they shouldn't.

I don't know where the investigator and the assistant are, and I don't want us to make a mistake.

I've done many things trying desperately to figure out the best kira-follower-follower combination in this game, because I absolutely love every part of it and the lore. once I stopped scumreading kawaii, I've been looking at some different places trying to figure out who can be kira.

please keep this in mind moving forward when I'm no longer a distraction, if killing me is something town wants to do. actually come back and read my post please. or figure out at least why I'm saying the things I'm saying.

I think black/kawaii are townies. I think kokichi might be town, but idrk. I don't think he is kira cause he doesn't need to defend kawaii that much as kira. I liked vanderscamp all game, and I said why I don't think it's meg. so the pool of potential kira is quite short. lorne/mala/std/hpe/ only.

I think kira is in the std/mala pair, and I think it might actually be std. I tried wagoning mala to see what would happen, but he seemed like not wanting to do much to save it. and it's possible mala's rvs opener is signaling to kira. the 'Hi.' post.

I still think Gimli is a pretty terrible lim, I think the way he's played is the kind of inconsistency that comes more often from passionate town than scum with an agenda.

I still don't think Kawaii is town, but I think other people sound scummy and I'm happy to entertain the possibility that I'm just really tunneled.


I didn't like Mala's reaction to Gimli at all, I feel like when someone calls you out as a TPR people react in several different ways. I think the towny way to react, regardless of whether you'reTPR or not, is to kind of play into it, like giving a wink emoji or joking about your vig target or something.
I think Mala's reaction was pretty scummy, like Mala seemed really annoyed in a really obviously "I'm a TPR" type way. I get that this may seem unhelpful to talk about, but it was imo so blatant that there's no chance anyone missed it, so I'm just going to talk about it. I basically feel like if you are what you're softing it doesn't make sense because you would not want to actually react in that way, and it didn't feel at all like a VT trying to take a bullet, so I think it was just scummy.

I thought STD's reaction to Gimli a few pages ago was pretty good, I got the vibe from it that they actually believed what they were saying and weren't defending themselves just for the sake of defending themselves.

I really, really, really don't like kokichi's continual defence of "I literally can't be Kira" because it relies on the premise that followers would have just hard defended them facing an early D1, and the fact that no one did is clearing.
I don't really think this is something kokichi actually believes so it just reads as false.

Other than that, my non updated reads are that I think black and lorne are town and everyone else is null.
