I know that is how RVS works. I don't expect this to lead to a lynch at all, the only thing that truly concerned me at all was the way the bandwagon formed. Jason voted for Zach, Zach voted for Decent saying 'it worked last time', then Jason unvoted Zach and voted Decent only saying 'agreed'. What worked last time? Why would Jason automatically vote with Zach? Then Paraffin just jumps on the wagon saying basically saying: "L-4, let's go!"...safe enough thing to do D1 without drawing attention to himself. It just seemed way to fast, three votes in a row, one agreeing, and one saying nothing at all about the vote...just jumped on the wagon.

& more FoS Paraffin for putting him at L-4 :p
AlgoricalTyphoon wrote:1. I don't get this at all. You FOS the person who started the wagon. 2. Yet, he had nothing to do with "Descent going to L-4 in three posts in a row", no? He just put the first vote on.
3. Then you vote the second person on the wagon for "jumping on", 4. and only FOS the third person? What? 5. Why are JasonT more scummy for jumping on the wagon than Paraffin? 6. Since your concern is based on him getting to L-4, why not vote the person that put him at L-4 in the first place?
1. Yes, I FoS the person who started the wagon. I FoS the person who started the wagon, under the suspicion that Zach could be scum, and that one or both of his partners could be on the same wagon. This is a -biiiig- "if", just a hypothesis if you will. It just seemed strange to me that three votes in a row would be on the same person. So I only FoS the person who started it, since, if townie, he couldn't have known that would have happened. But then there is the 'it worked last time' quote, that I have to wonder about.
2. No, he didn't. Which is why I only FoS him instead of placed a vote on him, because Jason was far more suspicious for jumping on said wagon.
3. Yeah, I voted for the second person 'jumping on' the wagon, because I don't like buddying. That, in my book, was plain and clear buddying. Jason's entire post was literally: Vote " ", Agreed...just in a different format. All he did was agree with Zach and voted for Descent, he even went out of his way to unvote first...seems strange not to post anything else along with a vote, even though this is RVS.
4. Yeah, I FoS the 3rd person because it seemed more suspicious to me to jump on the wagon from the start, so I placed my vote on Jason instead.
5. Because of the context around his vote. Refer back to #3 in my responses for that, please.
6. Because again, it was the context around Jason's post that made me vote him. Paraffin seems bandwagon-happy (hence the FoS), as does Jason, but Jason just had a flare of buddying in his post.
AlgoricalTyphoon wrote: Zach, can you explain what you mean by "It worked last time"? It's apparently something compelling, given that it caused JasonT to change his random vote.
I am also curious as to what you meant by that.
And, AlgoricalTy, a little defensive of Jason? I mean, this
is
RVS. While my vote wasn't entirely random, nor was Jason's. Yours wasn't either. You flat out voted for me because of my vote of Jason, what if I
had
voted Paraffin instead?

what
worked well last time? o.O
Jason wrote: Actually, can I rephrase that. can you link us to any completed games of mafia you have played in please. on MS or off site.
I'll answer both questions. I have one 'finished' game,
https://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17499 , newbie 1106, and I replaced into another game and had to replace out, started another game and had to be replaced out, so that's, according to Vel, the equivalent of 2 finished games, making me an SE on the newbie forums. I've played about 11 games on another website, but they were nothing compared to this website. I'll link a few of them just for your satisfaction and to be thorough. I'm linking the most rescent game (which was a loooong while ago), in which I had two different roles. After I'd been killed during the night as a townie, I was able to replace in as Affiliation townie (a.k.a. similar to the vigilante). My username was Feare on that website, which now reads as my current username, "Meow").
http://www.darkmark.com/forum/index.php ... &p=1729483
Game two:
http://www.darkmark.com/forum/index.php ... &p=1702157 , most of these gamese were at least 15+ players. I'm linking you the list of people and who played what roles, including mine. This game my username was 'Abyss', and I was also townie.
Game three:
http://www.darkmark.com/forum/index.php ... &p=1698980 , I'm trying to find one where I was actually Mafia o.O ...most of the time on that website I got PR roles, they were just different and theme based on that website. My username was also Abyss on that game.
Game four:
http://www.darkmark.com/forum/index.php ... &p=1697026 , I'll attempt to find one in which I was Mafia and leave it at that for the links. My username at the time was also Abyss, and I was cop in this game. After I find one in which I was mafia, I'll link to 1106 and be done with the examples...unless you want them all, of course :p
Game five:
http://www.darkmark.com/forum/index.php ... 852&st=120 Ahahaha, finally found one where I was mafia. It was a choose-you-own-character game in which I was Anne Stewart, from the movie 'The Others'. My specific mafia-based role was the janitor, and it was awesome messing with people's heads :p
Newbie 1106:
https://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=17499 In which I was cop, killed during Night 3, and townie lost miserably.
You'll notice a pattern of my games on this website though (I'm not going to link them, as some of them are still in progress), that I am -very- aggressive as far as scum-hunting is concerned, and I am very analytical...and I have a habit of making long wall-posts, as you can see here. I try to shorten it down, but I don't hold anything back. When I see something suspicious I usually quote it, and question the player who said it. If you look at my meta (1134 and 1137), I don't like voting unless I have a reason behind my vote and thus can back-up my vote whenever someone questions me. You'll see me use the phrase that I don't like to vote unless I am 100% certain of someone being scum, but this -is- RVS, so I can't really use that until we're out of RVS because there is usually very little certainity behind votes until after.
So right now I've basically got two finished games, on the waiting list for my first game as SE, and in this game.
Any further questions? :p
