Alright well I'm pretty much caught up on the thread, here's my initial thoughts. (Please bear with me as I've just read the whole thing in one sitting so may well have missed some things, this is also my first game on here and the playstyle is slightly different from my regular games)

Equinox

: I was initially a touch suspicious of Equinox, post 117 rang some alarm bells but then I liked 726 as a solid town post with the reasoning on what happens if NS flipped town or scum.

Quilford:

I didn't like 804, but nothing else has rubbed me the wrong way so no opinion yet. Also the whole confirmed town thing, it's too brazen for scum...isn't it?? (TS post 748 seems to somewhat confirm this as well)

Well I've had a skim through for my 2nd read and I'm pretty happy with my assessments with one exception:

SleepyKrew actually posted a lot more than I first thought, which is confirmed by the activity log but I really didn't notice a lot of them on my first read through. Not sure why this is? Low content/high volume posting? Maybe..

But I'm pretty sure that these kind of things are noticed both by town and scum, moreover when I'm giving reads as scum I tend to rely a lot on recent posts as reasoning -- especially as a replacement -- because I can understand their context better. Additionally, my reads as scum are usually one liners and I tend to leave my conclusions open. I can see both of these in jerobbo's reads list so I'm going to stay with my current vote.

Wouldn't say I relied on recent posts for reasoning - I reference right through from post 117 through to 848. I was pretty thorough in my first read through.

As for one liners and leaving conclusions open - well it's my first game on this site but whenever I've replaced in to a game I will always read through then give a brief thought on each player before getting involved in the discussion. things would be different if I as in from the start but I feel a brief list of my thoughts after an initial read through is the best way to get involved.

You're right on that count, but I actually only mention three specific posts, 117, 726 and 848 - quite a spread. The rest of my reasoning is from a feeling gathered over the entire thread not biased towards recent posts. *sigh* I'm not giving null reads or playing it safe at all and nothing I've said so far is scummy - I've given my opinion on how I think people are looking after replacing in. Cut me some slack, I'm still getting everybodys names correct and to be honest, I think I've been more than helpful with my limited analysis.

Exactly - I've replaced in and put my opinion out there, however I'm of course being cautious because I'm still getting a feel for everyone.

As for why I gave a read on a dead player - it's because it was related to my FB / Amrun point and no I don't think that's particularly unusual?

I still like FB and Amrun for scum but there isn't too much more to go on

That was pretty much the last thing he said, which obviously drops suspicion at those peoples doors (As well as Amrun who [J] voted for)

Interestingly, unless I'm mistaken [J] is the only one who was suspicious of Bvoigt and he turns up dead. Quil, FB and Amrun would probably have other targets if they were scum (which I still think FB and Amrun are)

Jerobbo's making up reasons to vote Amrun. This seems very much like scum knowing that they've just jumped onto a mislynch wagon, and that they need to find their "own reasons" for lynching someone in order to avoid being suspicious. Neither of the things he's raised are even remotely scummy, and while in my case I'm unsure about Amrun's alignment, Jerobbo's posts do not sit well with me at all.

Well FruitBasket was on the wagon and interestingly NS said in one of his last posts that he thought FB was the most scummy person on his wagon. Have already said I'd be happy with a FB lynch.

I'm not sure about anyone else who was on it. Bvoigt voting for me comes across as scummy, because a) he's reasoning is wrong and b) even it was correct it's not a valid reason for a lynch. Fatlikepig gives me funny vibes sometimes but nothing concrete.

By the way, I just read your ISO again and earlier you said I was definitely town then when I put it out there that I'm pretty confident you're scum with some reasons other than the associative tells, you change your mind and decide I'm scum - that stinks.

Part of the reason I'm stalling is that I'm busy during the day but can't stay awake long enough during the night to actually do anything significant, hence my stating that I'd replace out if I wasn't able to contribute soon. I find that asking people to pressure me helps sometimes, which was why I did that.

I think jerobbo has again changed styles in his attempt to appear town. After being "99% certain" that Amrun was scum, it doesn't make sense for a townie with such as strong read to change tactics and go after a lurker. Furthermore, this is an "easy" sort of vote for scum to make. Lurking and promising to catchup is not a scumtell. Just look at this guy. (He posted no content for two weeks, and then came in and randomly hammered me without having read the thread. ) However, it's rare that anyone will criticize a lurker vote (except for me, but I never get any support for this kind of case).

@jerobbo in #1077: The latter two of those quotes say absolutely nothing concrete. The first one is somewhat valid, but I'm not sure how well anyone can tell the difference between someone's scum and town language, especially when they don't have experience with the player.

I was kind of on the fence but it's certainly possible SK is scum. His lynch gives us a hell of a lot of info if he flips scum based on my re-read of his ISO but if he flips town we're in a shitty spot, to state the obvious.
