The Streets Of El Pallante

The town of El Pallante is being terrorized. A mafia family named the Pastrelli's wants to taken over the city! The last couple of days people have been found murdered in their home. The citizens of El Pallante are afraid they're going to be next. And what will happen with their little town when everyone is dead? The Pastrelli will certainly make this town their headquarters and will begin to terrorize other cities! The townmembers decide that they can't let that happen, and take matters into their own hands.

Starting tomorrow every day one citizen will be lynched by democratic voting untill all the mafiosi are dead or until only mafiosi remain.

It's all or nothing.

was proud of his job. As a kid he always wanted to be a police-officer. But after he was rejected at the academy, he didn't give up: he volunteered for the

Neighbourhood Watch

. That was almost being a police-officer and maybe, if he did his job right, they would taken him at the academy. He thoguht about all this as he reached the Harbor, where he decided to patrol that night. He looked carefully for suspicious persons and hoped he could remember them the next morning. Unfortunately he didn't notice the suspicous person behind him. Fuldu felt a sharp stab in his back and then fell to the ground. The dark shadow flew quickly from the scene.

Fuldu (Neighbour Watch)

is dead. He could go to one of the three districts and watch for suspicious people. He could only remember one of the persons he saw there.

It looked like Jaguar couldn't be saved. And after he said he was Sean Connery it was evident Jaguar would be strung up. Dodgy pleaded and pleaded, but Jaguar couldn't be saved.

is lynched. He was Sean Connery and thought that he had enough experience from playing James Bond that he could help the town by searching through a player's house every night.

massive was a police officer. And he was so dedicated to his job that even after his shift was done he still was doing his duty. Also this night. He decided to check up on someone this night who he thought was mighty suspicious. As he returned home after his investigation a man asked him something and before he could react the man thrusted a knife into his stomach. Maybe he nailed scum, maybe not: we will never know.

He hadn't much costumers lately and could so tail people of his own choice. Unfortunately his tailing days are over.

I'm terribly sorry guys. I couldn't get to a computer last week because I went hiking in some Malayan jungle (Taman Negara, if somebody wants to know). It had bugs, insects, wasps, ants, a shaky bridge, a cave with bats, an aboriginal village, etc. But no computer, let alone internet acces..!
Anyway,

The Five Angry Men decided. GUILTY. Internet Stranger was strung up and so ended the life of the dear doctor, or did it..? In fact Internet Stranger was the leader of the Pastrelli's.

shelper, with a University-diploma but without a job and thus still living on campus, sat in his room watching a movie. On the screen was a guy who did nothing all day but watching television.

"Same here buddy!", shelper said to the man as though he could hear him. Then the serial killer invaded the house and within seconds the man was killed while he was watching a TV-program.

"What a crappy movie, the things those writers come up with now-a-days!" He leaned over to grab the remote but before shelper could change channels he was already dead. When he fell to the floor a knife could be seen sticking from his back.

He always liked sitting in front of his window and watching the magnificent ships come by. At night he then would dream about the grand voyages he would make as a captain of one of the big ships. Suddenly his thoughts were broken when the door of the room swung open and a man rushed into the room and before Yggdrasil could say: "It's you!" a knife was sticking out of his belly.

This long day started when HairyMezican and Leonidas both claimed doc. It was not soon that they both voted for each other and got into a heated argument. Locus Cosecant let them rant at each other and then decided to cast the vote on Leonidas.

HairyMezican and Locus Cosecant closed in on Leonidas, who still pleaded innocent and he wanted to know how sure Locus was. But even if Locus wanted to change his vote it wouldn't have been possible the lynching was already in motion and could not be stopped.
The rope was fit around Leonidas' neck and he was hung.

Then HairyMezican turned to face Locus and...

The Roles

On Districts

: The home of each player was located in one of the three regions of El Pallante : harbour, university, trainstation (randomly distributed). Some roles got info about a person's whereabouts that night. And with the information in the dayscene about the location of the murder (which I neglected one time, my mistake!) they could rule out or suspect their targets. I was hoping the game would get into an analytical discussion about locations of players in the nights.


Homeless Guy,

Life is hard on the streets, especially when you are homeless. In despite of the numerous disadvantages of living in a box, there is one advantage: you can spy on people. when you find someone suspicious you can follow him around town, and because of your perfect knowledge of the lay of the town, you can tell exactly where they are going to.

Every night you give me a player's name and I tell where that player did what he was planned to do that night.

You are a Private Detective, but you don't have any customers anymore. That sucks, but also great. Because now you can tail the people you want to tail! No more husbands who commit adultery or looking for missing cats.

Looking back at the nightchoices maybe I should have replaced FD sooner. On the game itself: All the non-townies got killed and lynched before any of the townies. In fact, two of the three townies made it to the endgame. Eventhough the powerfull roles got killed early on, the town still managed to pull it off. So, again congratulations to the town. Question to mafia, did you know who had the powerfull roles or were they 'lucky' guesses?
