Roffman doesn't seem scummy to me. He seems like a newb. By comparison, your attempts to throw suspicion on him seem scummy.
Also, if you posted your role PM in a previous game, you must be either an idiot or a tool.

I apologise for that inaccuracy.
Should be a tool AND an idiot.
My post was completely logical.ryan wrote:Are you fucking kidding me?Phate wrote:Also, if you posted your role PM in a previous game, you must be either an idiot or a tool.

But that was only a personal opinion tacked onto my reason for voting you. Which you haven't responded to. Are you going to? How scummy does everyone else find roffman? And ryan?

Fairy, if this is correct, be blown away in a gust of wind. If it's incorrect, do something else.
Fuck you too. This is such a ridiculous response that it's almost not worth putting on the forum a second time.
Ayuh.Yes, JDodge is more likely to be town than scum. You too, Phate, are more likely to be town than scum. Everyone is more likely to be town than scum.
See first response.I'd take a page out of JDodge's book and scream about it in CapsLock, but I doubt it would do any good.
I didn't say that we should trust JDodge.[/quote]Your logic for why we should trust JDodge is absolutely atrocious, as is your comment on how JDodge's suspicions are how we should determine whether he's town or scum.
Rhetorical questions phail, especially when you specify that they're rhetorical questions. If you're making a statement, make a statement. If you're asking a question, ask a question. If you're asking a question that you know the answer to for the sole purpose of getting someone to agree with you so you can move on to your next point, ask the question. But asking a rhetorical question and labeling it as such is a waste of time.First of all, who benefits more from not giving reasons for actions: the town or the mafia? (Rhetorical question, in case no one noticed)
You need a question mark, you need to specify what 'that' refers to, and you need a 'than' for comparison. As of right now, this question is too unclear for me to be able to respond to. What is a better way of determining his alignment, compared to what?Secondly, how is that a better way of determining his alignment.
Again, worse than what? And Rigel, interpreting JDodge's actions or playstyles in different ways won't force him to give his reasoning. Note that 'reasoning', even when you're using it in a plural form, has no 's' at the end. IE: "Those posts contained the reasoning for all of my votes", rather than "Those posts were the reasonings for all of my votes".It sounds like a worse idea to me, since all we get are his actions, rather than his reasonings.
You are operating on the mistaken assumption that policy lynching JDodge until his playstyle conforms to your 'standard' is A) less anti-town than adapting to his playstyle, II) an idea that will work, and 3) going to be supported by other players. We shouldn't hold JDodge to a lower standard just because he has a playstyle that differs from the remainder of ours. It might be more in our benefit to hold him to a higher standard, since his playstyle is so anti-town to begin with.
Phate wrote:JDodge, I disagree with your breadcrumb.
Imagine the following scenario.
Town: "Hey! Let's lynch Toothy!"
Lumpy: "Sure, but if I die tonight, Player X is scum!"
[Toothy is lynched]
Mafia: "Wow, Lumpy sure is stupid. Now we can kill him and the town will lynch Player X!"
I don't think I have to explain to anyone else how much these 'reasons' fail.you tried to discredit JDs breadcrump prrof a couple of times despite it being IRON CLAD. I was suspicious of you before that, that just made me sure you're scum.
Or at least explain the inconsistency in the post I'm referring to.Phate wrote:Translation: "I am voting someone without explaining my reasoning, other than a vague 'I'll explain later.' I'm town. You are voting someone without explaining your reasoning other than a vague 'I'll explain later.' You're clearly scum. So stop voting me now, PLEASE."
Hmm... no.
How about you make a case against me?
This is ridiculous. Why would I let crap logic pass by on the off-chance that the person it's aimed at is scum?Holy wrote:Phate's stubbornness yesterday could come from either alignment, especially after reading the definition of Mafia Spy that psycho pointed. But what pinging my scumdar the most was the quote from him yesterday that I brought back here. Although you don't think JDodge is scum, he still might be the scum, so why should you defend him anyway, it's better if you let him defend himself to understand more what his true intention was. Your defending action just not make sense in my eyes the more I think about it.
Code: Select all
In my opinion, it is optimal play for a townie not to defend other players, even if they're being attacked with crap logic. Thus, Phate, playing as town, would not defend another player being attacked with crap logic. Thus. Phate is scum.
That was the mafia kill. Now sure, there may be more than one kill method, but just thought I'd point that out.Giggles (pacone), Mafia aligned Poisoner has been lynched during Day 3
